How does one know what the maximum insurable amount will be? Any way of finding that out for any given country/part of the world? Today I found out I could only insure up to a pretty small amount after having already declared full value. If I had known in advance I'd have done my buyer the favour of declaring lower since I had nothing to gain from declaring the full amount.

An Post, Ireland, says 'inclusive insurance of up to 35euros' but I just assumed you could purchase insurance covering the entire amount that you declare - evidently not.

So you finally gave in huh? For a good cause I'm sure :)

Anyone here interested in a BatPod and Tumbler. They're sooooooo big I can't find a place to put it. It hasn't been out of the box yet. Bought it from a member here. I think Michael Crawford. It was from a toy reviewer.

You can't give in! YOU CAN'T GIVE IN!! :D Well actually no, I haven't sold either the pod or the tumbler, though I can see how I gave that impression. I've been considering letting go of the pod though and was just wondering how difficult a sell it might be when in addition to the mark up from the retail price plus shipping the buyer has to factor in customs fee.

So I painted my Transblast Batmobile/Tumbler. I love it! I even painted the exhaust silver with black details. It is over a foot long and looks great on the shelf next to my 1/6 scale figures. I also love that it opens up. =D

This question kinda covers more than just this thread, but I'll ask here anyway since it does have something to do with the Batpod:

Does anyone know of a good/affordable alternative to the Detolf that would have enough room for the Batpod to be displayed too? I have plenty of HT figures that could go in it, so it can be a lot bigger than the Detolfs are.

Bestas from IKEA seem to be popular. I'm sure they're big enough for the batpod. Been looking at getting one myself. There's a thread in the how to section on bestas.

Here is one way to do it… :wink1:

I was JUST thinking about this the other day - I've envied that setup for a LONG time....but this would be going in my media/theater room, and unforunately the glass would be too reflective as it would be 5-6 feet away from the screen.

Thanks for the suggestion though and I hope to one day be able to do this!

You welcome! :hi5:

This is actually in my home theater room (and living room) :lol …I just turn the light off the table when watching movies. :wink1:

:)

Anyone else's Tumbler lights continue to glow even when you turn them off? At first I thought there was some other light being reflected on them but, its definitely the Tumbler's lights - a faint glow. When I turn them on they're unbelievably bright.
