:exactly:

Yeah and if they were to do that, it wouldn't be a re-launch, it would be an upgrade. If we got light up screens, they might as well go all the way and redo the interior with more monitors and other details that are missing from the first release--which would jack up this "overpriced plastic toy" quite a bit.

Batmobile Tumbler...DX version. heh.

:lol :lol

If that's the case, I wants a moving steering column so that my DX figure can lay on his belly. :lol

Sorry to hear that but at least have in the comfort of your mind, that most of us will still provably have our tumblers boxed up a year later after receiving it because we still haven't got a clue were to display it ;)

I would love you have that problem. and I would, have no place to display it as well.

If that's the case, I want it to come in Black

and Camo. (this is fun!)

Wait, which Camo again :lol

Hopefully they'll still be around when you can afford it. I'm from the UK & bought mine through OSB over four payments, why not do something like that but with SS or some other shop who does Flex payments. I actually got a £500 car bill out the blue two weeks ago, I was just about to buy an Apple Mac & then a chunk of my saved money is gone just like that. Hope you manage to get one :)

Was the base of that case also made by Geil, if I may ask

hmm I can't be sure if he got the acrylic base option but that looks like the pavement option I have which I basically cut of a roll of roofing material

Roofing material, cheers buddy, that is what I wanted to know.

Still trying to work out how to display this. I've been thinking about wall mounting it but I'm not to sure about that. I've only just looked at the measurements, I obviously knew this was big but this thing is actually huge. I like the Coffee Table look but being that it's going in my office, that's not really going to work for me.
If anyone has wall mounted this some pictures would be appreciated.

Waiman from OSB said about wall mounting it on his Facebook page, that's what gave me the idea but like I said I'm really not sure. Funny thing is, I'm obviously restricted with just where this thing is going to go but I'm still anxiously waiting to drop my money on the 89 Batmobile :D

I don't think wall mounting it is a good idea. It's not like a TV or monitor which is designed with metal screw holes and/or adapters to be compatible with a metal frame that can hold and distribute its weight. The entire body is plastic, including the relatively thin base.

Even if you bolted a custom metal base/frame/clamp to the bottom, there is still a lot of weight to the rest of the car that won't be distributed properly in a wall mount. I'd guess it might hold for a little while before a crack forms and most of the body goes crashing to the floor.

What about a wall mounted shelf?

Yeah that is completely do-able as long as the shelf itself is strong enough to hold the weight and the Batmobile is resting on it normally, sitting on its tires.

Any configuration with the Batmobile's tires oriented on or toward the wall (i.e. when you look at it, you are seeing its roof instead of its side), is a very expensive accident waiting to happen, imo.

hi i have pre order this tumbler :bess: can anyone measure a overall size please.
