Broken spoilers, scratched rooftops before.

So pretty much those + warped tires this time?

The scratched roofs they should definitely be able to prevent. All that would take is some non-abrasive clear film placed over the car's roof. It was just a packaging problem.

The spoilers are more fragile and difficult to protect, but maybe some more foam spacers/inserts would help prevent that too.

I only hope HT learnt from last time and have made some changes to at least make the Tumbler less susceptible to shipping damages this time.

Mold cavities don't get smaller with use. So the product doesn't get smaller. Sometimes cavities get larger with use, but you need to talk to your dad about that. Even if the molds are aluminum alloy, they are going to last for thousands of cycles with very little wear using styrene plastic.
It's highly unlikely new molds would be required for items with this low a production run for the reasons I stated.
Assuming the same material is used the plastic isn't going to shrink more this time than on the first run. That's ridiculous.
The plastic pellets will be placed in a dryer, than into a hopper dryer, pulled into a barrel surrounded by a heating element by a long screw (or plunger for small parts), than injected into a clamped mold cavity under pressure. That's how thermoplastics are used in injection molding.
Rumors to the contrary, I can't imagine why the same model made with the same tooling and materials would be in any significant way different than the original.

How are you guy displaying the tumbler?

Its to big for any display case I can find

I've been waiting for this ! I missed out on the first issue..was planning to getting it repainted and make some of the missing parts for the suspension/steering specially in the front end...wish HT will fix this but it looks like a straight reissue with no improvements..

if anybody wants to sell a scratched up one with broken spoilers..hit me up ! as long as all the parts are there, I want it..but not ebay prices :)

Great pics Ralph! Love the lighting you used on it. :clap

Now I'll just wait for HT to release a new Bat-Pod.

hello guys..i need a favor, can somebody measure the diameter of the rear wheels in inches ?..possibly height, width and if somebody can measure the diameter of the rims too please..

thanks a bunch..

Rob

anyone have this on a Ikea Besta?

I was wondering how it would look because due to width it would only have maybe a .5 inch of room on the sides

Tumbler is a little over 18" wide. That Besta thing shows 15" deep so it would look silly trying to hold up the Tumbler beast.

Didn't realise Geil actually made cases for others, does he still do it? May have to get in contact with him...

so basically the tumbler is $450 and then $150 for for a case to go over it and then another $200-300 for a shelf that will fit it if you want to display it properly.. ouch

I have no idea where I will display this, but ordered first and asked questions later, heh. Will be a great display piece. Hopefully Sideshow can help with any breakage during shipping. What were the issues referenced on the Bruce Wayne figure?
