Hot Toys 1/6 Tumbler/Batpod Batman

I could tell by the design of the Batpod that it had to be part of the tumbler and the name Bat"pod" made me assume it was an escape pod. Of course I didn't know this for sure until I saw the movie today but I wasn't suprised at all.

With that being said; I secured a 1/6 Tumbler off of eBay today as soon as I got home from the theater. :chew Now I will have a whooping 4 pieces in my collection. None of which have arrived yet. Now I gotta start saving for a Batpod and an Iron Man.

...of course the other tell tale sign, apart from the wheels was the way the cockpit shifts into that weird position in combat mode...i knew all along!

Uhh one of the Mods wanna go edit post 1487? That smiley face probably deserves some kinda reprimand for getting around the obscenity filter. And IDC if anyone has seen the flick yet or not and if I get heat for this fine but the Tumbler and Batpod are one in the same. Get used to the idea if you don't like it because it's an actuality.

Speaking of mods, I just realized wookster's thread with the Prod specs and Hi Res pics of the Tumbler and Bat Pod was combined with this thread and those pics are now buried on page 84 if anyone wants to revisit them.

Also speaking of Mods why are some custom threads remaining on this Forum when others were moved. Please address this, it's confusing.

I don't know why people were surprised by the whole bat-pod thing. The toys in Toys R Us have an ejecting pod, after all. I don't even think this qualifies as a spoiler.

I'd count it as a spoiler - I didn't know about it and it was a "Oh cool!" moment in the film which would have been spoiled if I'd known.

Got this https://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2945353 at toysrus for $27.99 with a spend $25 or more and get $5 off. So it cost me $22.99 plus tax. I almost bought that 30 inch TDK Batman figure too for $55.

Fair enough. Still, while I wasn't 100% sure before seeing the movie, all signs seemed to point to that being the case, and I've been actively avoiding reviews and stuff.

Anyhow...

I thought the pod sequence kicked @ss and fit perfectly in the Bat realm. Already pre-ordered and cant wait!

For the price, I think its rather costly. I think the Batman figure is about 6 or 7 inches tall so I guess you can guess how big the Pod is going to be.

I agree -it looks good but I think I'll be saving up the cash and consider getting the 1/6th version.

At least the figure is hell of alot better than what Mattel has to offer (IMO). I think its more poseable as well? I didn't get the Mattel figures, even the Movie Masterpieces as I'm on a tight budget with all the Hot Toys stuff coming out!
