Love that phrase Bro...So true. HT owns Sideshow in the 1/6 world.

check this out from wikipaedia:

"Sylvester Stallone asked Carl Weathers, Mr. T, and Dolph Lundgren for permission to use footage from their appearances in the earlier Rocky movies for Rocky Balboa. Mr. T and Dolph Lundgren gave him their graces, however Carl Weathers wanted an actual part in the movie, even though his character died in Rocky IV stated by Stallone on Jimmy Kimmel Live Dec. 21, 2006. Stallone refused and Weathers decided not to allow Stallone to use his image for Rocky flashbacks from the previous movies. They instead decided to use new footage of a fighter who looks similar to Weathers."

could it be true? could carl weathers really be a) this stupid and b) such a jerk.

He always came across nice on screen. It's a shame if his real life persona was the opposite.

All they did was recycle the cheap match footage from Rocky III when he's defending his title in the Eye of the Tiger montage and the Clubber Drago clips, they didn't even end up using simulated Creed footage. It's sad that he's such a ego maniac that he'd be a baby about this. In the line of Rocky, Creed was mainly a protagonist, and for a brief time a friend, but Mickey was always Rocky's angel and it's only appropriate that he be included in other films as a tie amongst the series, and I have to say, Mickey's moments were the best scenes in Rocky V, overall an average film, but I thought the scene with Rocky remembering the old encounter in the gym after losing everything was a nice little scene, and then to use Mickey's drive again in the Rocky Balboa fight was very fitting.

As for the Creed figure, I wonder how many will buy him to make a custom Dillon from Predator if he resembles Weathers.

i wonder if carl weathers is being a butthole about his likeness being used for this fig because of the bitterness he must now feel for the franchise.

either way he sucks. i can't believe arnie is this way too. the only way we're going to get decent manufactured predator figures of these two is if they both die and their greedy children let someone use their faces.

Wow, I'm very sorry to hear about both of these actors attitudes off-screen. After being such a HUGE fan of both Carl Weathers, and Arnold Schwarzenegger for so many years all the way back to my childhood...it's just disappointing to say the least! I have pre-ordered the HT Apollo Creed, and I hope to get a better, more accurate custom head. I'll likely try to get one from Lonnie Hale first, just like I did when I got my Hicks, Hudson and Apone heads from him for the HT marines out now. I don't have an Arnold 12" figure yet, but still want a Terminator 1 and 2, and someday make my own Dutch from Predator.

Is this article truly for real? Are they actually going to edit out the endings of these classic movies? Wow, if they did....that would totally suck. Rocky, albeit a very sympathetic movie character....along with Stallone's other movie character...Rambo...are both fictional characters. I think that MGM should just leave the movies alone! I have both sets of the Rocky and Rambo movies all on DVD, and I have no plans on throwing mine out in the trash, after Stallone's recent troubles. I will keep them and always enjoy them like I always have since I first saw Rocky as a child in the 1970s.

Yes, it is sad that Stallone was caught, and I am not happy about that at all. But Rocky and Rambo have become engraved into our American conciousness, and pop culture. Now, to go back and re-edit them, at least the Rocky movies from what the article says....would just NOT be right.

I have always thought of both Rocky and Rambo as true "underdog" fictional, yes, fictional characters that anyone could believe in and support. I will continue to do just that.

Mike, are you really that naive? It's The Onion. It's a joke.

And as for Sly's steroid debacle, who cares? The guy is 60, how else can he get himself pumped up as Rocky and Rambo again?

I'm not naive, dave, I just didn't know what the The Onion was, okay? I had never been to that website before, so I wasn't aware of it having "fake" news stories on it. Now I do.

Well, it is a bit of a let down when you find people you look up to at one point or another are not what you looked up to. It always kills me when you see a pro athlete put up one fascade and then at some point reveal their true nature and let you down. I know Sly needed help to get their for Rocky and Rambo, but it was dissappointing to learn of the growth hormone debocle cuz I thought Sly was someone who'd dedicate himself to working his ass off to get in the shape he wanted to be in and wouldn't sink to popping pills to get the job done, oh well.

Remember, Sly is an actor, not an athlete, and at 60 years old it would take many months of training to get himslef into the shape he was at half his age. I'm sure he didn't have as much time to devote himself to that kind of intensive training to prep for Rambo. I don't blame him for needing a little anabolic "boost" to get him there. It really is no big deal. He just broke an Australian import law which he didn't know about and when he saw the customs form put "no" because he didn't want to draw attention to the fact and then got caught. It hasn't changed my opinion of him in the slightest. So he's older and a bit pudgier now, it happens. We could all hope to be in as good of shape when we are 60 and still look like we are under 50. More power to Sly for going against the odds. I salute him.

That Onion article is hilarious and makes a joke out of the scandal because it was a joke. The media latched onto it because he was a well-known actor and made it such a fuss. If he had been a regular guy, they probably wouldn't have made a big deal about it. I think the whole situation was embarrassing for Sly because he got caught and now everybody knows he was taking them. So what else could he do but shrug it off with humor and good spirits. Sly will always be a stand up guy in my book.

HGH is just amino acids anyways.I have a bottle HGH capsules right here next to me.(that i take for general health)
Guess down under they frown on that.(though looks like sly had some strong HGH though:D )

Isn't that the same body building supplements you can buy at any general nutrition health store?
