Just spoke to Eric, TS owner, great guy, he said YES, they do charge the full amount upfront for paypal transactions, and will update that info on their site soon, he's reversing my charge for me and I will pre-order normally...

I thought so because that's how other retailers do it as well. thanks for clearing it up.

wonder why they charge the full amount just for Paypal orders?

I think because with Paypal, you don't always have to use a credit card, you can use your bank accounts etc...

Also the system is just seen as a "paypal payment" and not a credit card payment any more. therefore they would have no way to actually place a charge hold on your card.

well they charged me the full amount on my debit card(no paypal) and i emailed him no response(can't really take the charge right now) so i hope to hear from someone.

Cool.... Just got my Ivan ordered. Really want Clubber... but have to settle on just one. Ivan looks cooler, so I went with him. Maybe I will be able to score a Clubber on the Bay later.

I hope so too Josh, clubber seems to be selling out everywhere since this 2nd wave announcement.

Jason Debit cards have never been like a credit card. they are basically like cash in a card. anything you charge on them will be deducted right away. theres no charge holds possible. at least that's what I think?

btw, TS does NOT accept AMEX, even with paypal...
lol yes they do, i bought about 10 figures from TS with my AMEX via paypal and have received all of them.

I think you guys are getting confused on how paypal works.

I use my debit with them all the time... what they do is pre-auth the card immediately, and then the charge goes away. They did this to me with the HT Endo and I about lost my mind trying to figure out what was happening. But thankfully the charge went away and I had my money back in a few days.

Hope that helps...

Do they do the same pre-auth thing for credit cards as well?

Not sure.. .never purchased with an actual Credit card....:lol

But yeah, that is how it works with the debit cards.... It kills you for a few days, brings the blood pressure up and makes you want to rip out your hair. But in the end it's ok and you are out of trouble with the Mrs. :D

no dude i preorder with this card all the time most when they say they're not gonna charge till ship don't.(but some places do evidently)otherwise fett and spiderman would be paid for now lol

I pre-ordered using paypal, they don't charge your card until they ship and there is no deposit pulled from paypal I don't think... anyway Got Ivan and Apollo.. These are gonna be hard to find and won't be distributed anywhere else in the US as Dave said...

I mean c'mon, a 14" Drago and Apollo with the robe and hat? Please, who wouldn't want these?

Just got home and there was a message from my bank security. Apparently my visa was charged a pre-auth for the full amount which is more than I have available at the moment. I tried to explain that it should only be a pre-auth for purchase that won't be charged until June so they said it would probably drop off in a few days. I hope that's the case otherwise my purchase will be declined. :(

It'll drop off in a few business days i've been through this before. But i'm still emailing em to make sure.

My paypal payment with my amex card was declined by the vendor and my backup source, (bank account) was charged in my paypal transaction records. I called paypal to see what happened and they said Amex card was not accepted by the vendor, that's why my backup bank account source kicked in. That's what paypal said and i have tons of credit on my amex so it wasn't the card limit... anyway that's what happened to me, thankfully the transaction was refunded and I re pre-ordered with visa...
