I know this one's made of different material or whatever but I think the extreme poses in some of these pics might be a little risky.

Is there still a danger once its posed or is it the movement of the joints thats more likely to cause a tear?

A tear develops slowly. Extreme poses can strecth the rubber and in time it can start to tear. Weeks, months? Dont really know...
I've suffered a very, very minor tear to my RAMBO III, just under the armpit. Not even that extreme of a pose, but just a little over the reccommendations. Took about two years in the same pose to develop and I'm pretty sure it would have spread if I hadn't noticed in time...
The newer body types might be more durable though, since there are no horror stories going about.

If you pose stricktly within the limits of the instructions provided, you shouldn't have any problems.
But if you wanna risk it... go to the extreme.

Deterioration on the other hand is a different story alltogether... :rotfl

There was some really old thread about this subject somewhere. I'll post a link later, if I still have it...

Thats the best photo ever! "RRAARR!! WOMAAAAAAN"

What if you don't pose it at all but leave it in the pose it is in out of the packaging? Is there any stress on the rubber that way (or is it produced with to tight fitting rubber skin on the "skeleton" of the figure anyway)?

Tears are the only problem since deterioration isn't really a problem in a good environment (especially when looking at some boxed up old rubber toys that are still fine).

Not seen you around these parts lately. :lol

I would think he'd be fine. And even left in "light poses" I think you'll be fine. I have a few muscle body figures and not had any issues with tearing or deterioration.

Sounds good, some people in here tend to overreact regarding the HT rubber problem i think, including me.

I think deterioration might happen with age and the rubber hardening. Just my opinion though...
I'm not familiar with the circumstances in case of the rubber body HT Alien warrior, but some FREAKS seem to think that deterioration has been a prob in the past.
...
As said I'm not experienced with the subject. + let the record show that I'm not trying to cause panic, just making conversation.
Could be nice to hear from someone who has experienced it though...
But, I'm pretty certain these figures wont last forever anyway. In this day and age nothing seems to...

Maybe 15-20 years from now. And who would really care then lol.

Kinda didn't make myself clear there, but basicly that's what I meant (with age+forever...) maybe not in so many words, as I was trying to keep it short...
But it didnt take 15-20, with the HT Alien warrior though...
Guess I just meant that if you want to buy the rubber body figures, maybe you should just enjoy them now and not worry so much because they wont last forever anyways...
+your intrest in them is likely to drop at some point.

And on a side note: sometimes it's kinda hard to make your point clear when you dont speak the language.
+ it's kinda hard to write anything without a "lol:rotfl:lol:monkey5:wacky:joy:google your a dweeb" answer around here.
But rest assured everyone outside this hobby (ofcourse no-one usually says anything to your face about it) considers you a dweeb when you collect "toys"...
