Oh, the first Raimi film is okay... The second pretty damn good. But the 3rd is right there with the Matrix sequels, SW prequels, POTC: At World's End, etc. as over-stuffed tripe with some moments so jaw-droppingly bad it's embarrassing to watch.

I loved the PotC sequels due to how awesome Davy Jones was. When I first watched and learned his story, it resonated super strongly with my teenage self as I had literally just gone through an awful relationship that also ended in heart rendering action. (Maybe literally
)But I think it was too heavy handed with the Elizabeth Will love story. Getting married while fighting on a ship was the worst part of the trilogy IMO
It's too long, overblown and contains nonsensical stuff like a chick growing to 100 feet tall and then crumbling into crabs. It's a total mess.

Ya, I was undecided on getting a black suit Spiderman so I recently rewatched the 3rd one. Decided to just save my money for the inevitable ASM and TDKR flood. Maybe one day if I can find a good deal like I did for New Goblin. Not going to lie... New Goblin is probably the most under appreciated 1/6 figure I can think of. The detailing and pose-ability is amazing! I can't find a single flaw. Helps that I'm a James Franco fan, but man! Great figure from a bad movie.

Again, just portions of the last 15 minutes of the trilogy were iffy/bad. C'mon... You didn't enjoy Davy Jones, flying Dutchman, or the Kraken?? I even loved Davy Jones theme song haha. Even the new PotC movie has Penelope Cruz going for it. Lol

I agree. I figured it was just the way it was twisted, so I didnt include it.
The one on the right looks better, the webbing isn't raised or thick black lines and it has a better sheen and looks to be one materaiial vs the official teaser
I hope that is the one were getting, one of these must be an earlier version
I agree that the sheen on the blue looks better on the right, but I dont think the webbing is actually too different. The picture was significantly blown up, so a lot of detail was lost. It's probably the same, just looks different due to different picture quality.

I prefer Andrew over Toby. Dispite growing up with Toby's Spider-Man Im really happy its going in a different direction. I LOVE the classic suit but this new take on Spider-Man just rocks...I have high hopes for this film and Hot Toys look like they have nailed it.
Only thing i can see wrong about it is that small dimple on his chin. Andrew doesnt have that at all.

How can you favor the new spidey over Tobey if you havent seen the movie yet? If you have my apologies but otherwise thats not a very well informed statement..I am looking forward to the new movie, and thought the Tobey series was getting to be complete trash..but he did do the character justice in the first two...I will hold out judgement until I see this new one
Agreed. They have to fix that bottom part of the red. It doesn't extend far enough down.

You're exactly right, it is the same exact thing other than the extension onto the blue and the blue being a much more realistic looking fabric. The frustrating part of this forum is that you will have to repeat yourself about 100 times for people to understand. I think this figure posed on the reveal shots will be very cool, the eyes will give reflections and not look quite 'so' gold.

I like the look a lot so far, one concern though is the black lines rubbing/wearing off in time. I guess handling would have to be kept to a minimum, there is no way around it with a rubberized material.
It still looks look poo regardless the size of the pic. I like the new outfit (film) however, thus far what is shown HT dropped "the ball."

Exactly, and it reminded people that a sequel doesn't have to suck and could be better than the first. I remember being blown away at how good the sequel was.

I remember getting Gossebumps watching the trailer for SM2, it just looked so awesome, and it was.
It matured the characters past the somewhat goofy characterisations from the first and the villain was so much better.
