@Nova-Force - Indeed! I'm hoping they are looking for other great kit builders like Narin and do a collab project for HT predators.

This samurai pred looks cool with the bow. Its good to see preds using non high tech weapons, it shows that they are really skilled and don't have to rely on techie weapons all the time. :D

Looks like it's based more on a native american warrior. I like it still. A more modern bow like Turok's techbow would look better on him in my opinion.

Totally off topic I know, but glad you said that. It makes me look at my Lost Predator figure in a more positive way. I used to view it as an 'it was cheap and makes up the numbers' figure and secretly think it was lame with out wrist blades, shoulder cannon or med kit (big fanboy sulk).

Now you could say he's more like an elite or dare I say it, a beserker type of hunter shunning the gadgetry of laser targetted cannons with more reliance on traditional types of cutting and stabbing weapons that require more skill.

Hm...yah, based on the pictures, samurai predator almost seems more similar to the original predator. I guess his body color just needs to look a little more scaley / reptilian and have some type of pattern. And wouldn't hurt if he lost the beard as he should have thicker quills rather then fine thin hair.

Still looks like a samurai to me, probably a samurai slayer. :D
Native American based or Japanese based, he still looks awesome!!!

Samurai predator!?:lol There is nothing samurai about him.

You know what im not into sculpting but I will try to make my own 1/6 Samurai Predator some day based on real japanese Samurai armors.

Sorry I don't understand why the HT Samurai Predator is going for $350? Can someone please let me know.

I think because it's an artist colaboration, Hot Toys want's money and also the bought artists.:dunno But I wouldn't pay that much, it's better to try and make his own Samurai Pred with a body from another one. Then sculpt a new head and armor.:wink1:

Just because one is called a samurai doesn't mean you must have the samurai armor, not unless you haven't seen samurai who are in their daily clothing. And some samurai also know archery just so you know.:)

Yeah I see him as an elite too, without the wrist blades maybe he's a pikeman or good at spear type weapons. Just my opinion though, we have to be open on different predator designs outside the movies we have seen. For me it makes them more interesting and fun to collect. :D

Thanks for the info bro!! They should of done a collaboration with Narin....I love his Predator designs!!

Ähem, sorry but there are no real Samurai there today and also not in yakuza, don't you know that? I knew that some of them were archers, I'm a freak when it goes for japan. I'm just saying there should be a little more samurai look to him even slightly.

Yes, they look really good! I would be happy with Narin and HT working together.

There were samurai archers yeah, but if no one told me it was based on that, I would think it was based on a native american hunter. That's just me though.

@MxBxM - Yup, I did mentioned that probably the pred is a samurai hunter, so he doesn't have to look like one with armors and other stuff. The clothing on his waist that looks like a pulled down gi somehow gave him a bit of samurai look to me.

Anyone can make a predator design and give it a name that he wants even if he doesn't have the obvious traits/armor. This certain kit is named Samurai Predator probably cause he hunts samurai.

I really hope Hot Toys do collaborate with Narin for the next Pred artist collection.

I also found this resin Samurai Predator and it looks insane! In an awesome way.:panic:

I'm really digging Narins interpretation of the predator face/head. If we had a narin head on that Samurai figure, it'd be perfect.
