So I received this piece last week, and it really sucked that it had a nasty pain rub just above his ribs. He also had some scratches on his left hip.
I've had small problems with Sideshow before, but never complained to them about it. But being that this piece was really expensive, I just had to ask what they could do regarding the paint rub and scratches.
They offered a $35 credit, I turned that down. It seemed way too low because even with the credit, this piece would have come out at around $279.00. So they sent me a replacement body.
The replacement came this past Wednesday, and the paint was perfect on this one, but the upper part of the body was extremely loose. He kept tilting sideways, lol.
This sucks, I hoped that the replacement wouldn't have any problems. I'd rather stick with a nasty paint rub, and some scratches, than have a loose body fall apart on me down the road.
Guess I have to take that $35.00, and suck it it up.

Thats the exact same thing that happened to my Spiderman. Needed new figure so get replacement with perfect costume but loose joints 
Well at least just looking at it, no one can tell.
Even with that band/armor around his torso doesn't tighten it up? Maybe if you put a little clear nail polish where the two parts meet might help some. Usually works for ball joints but don't know how to take the body apart so can't access the joint itself.
Or you could sell this Jake and use the money to buy a new one I guess

So you didn't have to first destroy your original figure to have SS send you the replacement? Maybe you could open up the first one and see if a tightening of a screw or two would resolve the loose bits?

I'm going to say this now . This is my all time favorite hot toys collectible . It beat out my classic predator , terminator 1 and iron man mark VI and superman in the top five spot . Just absolutely gorgeous . My wife just spotted it now ! Oh my god ! What is that ?? Lolololololo

It is so very awesome !! I'm looking at how this thread is growing and it's so much slower than The HT Batman 1989 thread, HT POTC- Stranger Tides Jack Sparrow, HT Iron Man and others and it shows that this figure will be filed under "not much demand " and so it hurts to say that we may not see a Neytiri or Quaritch. This is a shame HT took time to design this new figure body and it would be so great to have more of the Navi-especially with all the quality and execution that went into Jake .

Looking at this threat I see a really positive change when people started to get this in hand.
Like always it’s something completely different to see it in hand than in some nice photos …especially this one I can imagine.
Can’t wait to get this, but have to wait another couple of weeks.
Those threads are growing faster because people, usually the same people, post photos of their figures regularly.

While the thread has picked up, I'm not seeing a lot of new people. People either seem to love or hate the movie... I thought it was great and am glad to at least have Jake. But I really hope we also see a Neytiri and Quarritch.

I agree, Neytiri is essential but I fear HT is done. Not a peep from them on upcoming releases is worrisome. I'd say our best shot is if a sequel generates more interest.
Sequel is our best shot for sure. And I believe once the sequel is out, HT will go ahead and make her.

Got mine this week. Figure of the year, easily. I only saw the movie once and thought it was only okay...but this figure is gorgeous. I didn't think HT would actually do jewelry with INDIVIDUAL coloured beads! Anyone who has their doubts about this owes it to themselves to pick this up.

I do still plan to get a bluray copy, I still love the art direction behind the film. I'm more a fan of James Cameron's less CGI filled films, but it was fun nonetheless.
Yeah, I had my doubts with this figure. When picking this up at Toys2 (yeah I live in the area), it was still in its cardboard box. There was no store display for it either, so no in-hand look at this until opening this myself. I thought to myself "Ouch, $339 CDN for a figure from a film that I'm not hardcore about? This better be unlike anything I've seen yet". I was not dissapointed. Another thing is the rubber torso feels more like a soft vinyl than rubber (even though the instruction sheet says it's 'rubber', I still think it's more vinyl). So those who are wary of it deteriorating can throw a little caution to the wind.
One thing to note on this piece, is until something else comes out to rival it, it will be the jewel in the crown that is your 1/6 scale collection. I can only see a fully assembled Avengers being as colourful and eye catching as this.
I really, really hope we get Neytiri before the sequel, but doubtful.

HT sucks for customer relations, and product choice too. Unless it's Batman, Predator or an Avenger-related superhero film, there's hardly anything coming.

I'm liking the fact that everyone who seems to have got this so far are saying how great it is. Makes me even more excited for a figure I've had to wait so long for. I only collect Preds & Iron Man figures from HT now days, hopefully I can add a 3rd line in Avatar figures, if HT decide to venture further than just one figure. Iron Monger used to be my dream figure I thought would never happen. Now it's the AMP Suit

I'd buy a Neytiri despite having little love for Jake. She is the cooler character imo, I don't know why they didn't make her first
