Considering 90% of Q4 2011 still hasn't come out by now proves they've already taken on more than they can relase on time.
Wht can't they do both?They can handle more projects the bigger they get.

Yeah it can be really annoying when things get delayed & then you get a conjested month or two, I know the most important thing is for the figure to turn out well but I've had Jake, Mk II, Light Cycle & Jack Sparrow all delayed & now pushed into this 1/4 & with Batman & Joker being released, it's going to be a real expensive 1/4 for me & my wife goes mad when I keep getting figures turning up all the time, she always thinks I've bought them all spontaneously & I've still got to get my deposit put down on a Mark I

People assumed the reason Jack Sparrow was delayed was because HT was working on Indy and needed to get that out first - wasn't the case in the end as Indy looked the same
Get Jake, he's more 'collectible' as in unique one-of-a-kind, the Tumbler is a remake and there'll be a Camo version and a hello kitty version on the way soon enough - there'll only be one Jake.

Sadly I might have to cancel this... I just got Classic Pred ship notice with bills on top of him... Work not so good as of late... Jake and 89 Joker are the only other figures I have on PO now I will let Jake go for Joker if need be... Its in my name...

Hey man, if you gotta make a choice between the two... Nicholson Joker is the the one to keep. Also, I'd be surprised if Jake shot up quickly on the secondary market; so my guess is you might be able to still pick him up for a reasonable price when things hopefully pick up for you
I think lack of product in general has already done that... although I could see the sequel generating more interest. If I just get a Jake I'll be okay... but would have preferred at least a few more figures.

The sequel wont be out till the end of 2016, thats nearly 4 years away. Hot Toys have missed the boat here, they should have released this already, and had others in production. Its been 2 years since the movie was out and the hype for the film is definitely over. Unlike Batman and Marvel which have a continuous fanbase with the comics, Avatar just had this one film and merchandising should have been looked at far quicker imho.
I just hope Jake is released in april - no more delays- and that it is a great figure.
