I would like to have a Chopper to round out the main 3 Predators, but it's just too much for me and new stuff that I want more keeps coming out consistently.

I still heavily recommend everyone that owns Celtic and Chopper to get the lens painted silver on the Celtic Bio and to get the entire Chopper Bio painted. Silentsurfer did mine a while back and I couldn't be more thrilled even till today.

I don't have the extra money but if you post a price I'm sure you'll get more pms.
I wish I had the money because I'd make you an offer

I'd say they're the best HT Predator line ever; as a group, they totally rock it.

As far as individual Predators go, the newer releases might be better choices IMO.
For accuracy, everything they've made since the AvP trio is better.

I feel that back in the times of the AvP trio, P2/BD P2, etc..they were just loved as big, high quality, accurate figures.

Then HT drastically upped their quality..and they went further away from the "figure" aspect...and more into the "collectible" aspect..
Not that their first Preds can't be considered collectibles though...

arhg, do you understand what I'm saying? :lol

I do. The first Predators they did were just "fun," cool, expensive toys (though not meant at all for play :)) unlike anything we'd seen up until that point. Our inner child giggled with glee at the thought of owning such things.
The newer ones are, I guess, more aware of their collectibility. HT has learned a lot since then and the figures have lost their innocent toy-ish awesomeness. At first they were this unique fusion of toy, but now HT knows it and they've become a normal thing. The idea of an HT Predator is no longer outlandish and we've gotten used to it. So has the company, therefore they strive to give us better-looking and higher-quality pieces, rather than simple glorified action figures.

Both eras of HT have their appeal, whether it's either end of the spectrum, or the P2-to-P1 era in between. I just love me some Predator figures, no matter the concept and goal behind their creation.

Personally, I've always enjoyed the AVP Predators as a line because of how cool they are. They're like a toy/collectible hybrid, right from the years when HT was showing us what a near-perfect action figure (at the time) could look like if it cost $130. The designs kick ass, the bendy characteristics are a great posing touch, they stand out (in a unique way) on a shelf, and they're a blast to open up and oogle nowadays due to their insane value.

that swings both ways.
I for one wasn't that happy when HT went for aesthetics over functionality with the new preds. the loss of articulation alone killed the buzz for me...made me think i would be better off buying statues instead. i love posing my figures, the new bodies bore me easy, but that's just me.

Never understood the poseability issue..it's improved in the arm/shouler area..and the legs are much stronger. Lack of ab crunch is good because first of all, we never needed it..and second, they have a ton of range with the waist/thigh joint thingy.

I remember posing my Mr. Black figure when I first got him and being so happy that I didn't have to spend hours with it like I did with my BD P2/Borg.

no problem if you want to pose them standing up, but it bores me easily. different strokes for different folks, i guess. dynamic poses with the new bodies, pushing their articulation gets me unnatural results.

I like the avp preds but the newer ones are just so much more sturdy. The older bodies almost make me nervous to handle. Especially in the shoulder area. And the newer bodies have a more natural look to them. Some of the older preds, and avp included, seem to have kind of a popeye forearm thing goin. I'm not knocking the avp bodies but I am saying the newer ones are an improvement.

Everyone has a point. I guess it's just up to personal preferences. As for me I like them both. And yea the super preds are tougher to pose and we can only dream of ever letting Falconer do that awesome crouching pose he's always seen in but they do look awesome with those joints so well hidden.

But you can't do this with them...

Every now and then I'll see a cool predator pic and have to save it to my computer. I don't repost them or anything but I do save them to view later. Endless that pic is now in my collection. And I do agree that I wish the super preds had the double knee joint but at least they stand well without the aid of their stands.

Believe me when I say this. I am super honored to know that my photo is saved onto someone else's computer. Thanks that really made my day.

As for stands, none of my AVP or P2 Line Preds use stands at all and never had a problem of them falling over. Actually my Tracker fell over the other for no reason after holding the same pose for over a month. Weird...
