I don't own anything that's not original(besides the POS Lost and T-600) and I had an original Celtic(sorta) and I wanted another one, this guy has one and he's willing to help me out. So what if it's missing the Net Launcher no biggie to me.

Just reread my post about the Celtic...I should've explained it better Blade asked if it was a bootleg, it's an original Hot toys AvP everything, other than it being a "real" Celtic. Sorry for the confusion.

Nope. But that doesn't bother me at all(don't worry I won't be selling it) it was converted from a Chopper Predator.
While some people may not share the same views, if it's converted from a Chopper (but has the legit parts that make Celtic what he is), then it's also authentic IMO.
Basically, you'd take a Chopper. Lose the speared skulls, replace the bladed boots with the non-bladed boots, replace the bio with a real Celtic helmet, and replace the wrist computer gauntlet with a real Celtic netcaster. For those who want to take it to the next level, get a plasmacaster pack from either Scar or Celtic (the ones that come with the second series of HT AVP's have actual wires on the front of the cannon pack, but Celtic and Scar had sculpted ones). All of the non-Celtic-specific parts are used in each and every HT AVP Pred, so who's to say it's not authentic? Might not be original like "factory original," but I'd say it's legitimate.
As long as you make sure you use the right AVP body for the job. For instance, you wouldn't be able to properly convert an AVP Elder to a Celtic because the body is peach-colored. Can't do it with an Ancient either, because the Ancient bodies have yellower skin tones and seemed to have a gloss coat on them. Body has to be either from Scar, Chopper, or Celtic himself.
And those are my rules for converting as close as possible, lol.

IMO, if it didn't come in a box from a notable retailer or seller that read "Celtic Predator" and/or was loose but had all the parts that came with the Celtic Predator, it's not original. It would be a "Custom Celtic Predator" and anything that has been modified to look like the Celtic and is labeled "original" or "authentic" and sold as such would be fraud.
Well, authentic HT parts. And it could be loose. But I understand where you're coming from.
It really just applies to those looking to by a used one for cheap (although replacing all those parts with legit Celtic ones would run you quite a pretty penny anyway, so...
).

Yep, I'd never sell anything as "Original" with the actual knowledge of it being a custom or authentic . The whole Celtic thing that happened months ago was my fault(I really should have realized the bio was a total recast) and my forgetting to put the stand and spear in the box was even worse

Natural evolution of discussion. To be fair, pretty much any discussion about the AVP preds is relevant to the thread topic.
Except for bashing, as of course, the word "love" is in the title.
