I don't care what the cost is I am buying it regardless! This will be my first and most likely my only Hot Toys Vehicle purchase. This car is too iconic for me not to have!!! I just hope the flux capacitor lights up & pulses like it does in the movie.
I preferred the original. Most because it is driven by nuclear power. Much cooler than the vegetables mixer in part 2.
If if has features that basically allow you to switch back and forth between part 1 and part 2, I could see around 899, but for just part 1, I think 699 is reasonable. Either way, it will be on my shelf.
Its Batman related plus one of the most iconic tv vehicles of all time. The 66 Batmobile will sell easily. I still wouldn't be surprised to see a slight boost in sales of the 66 Batman and Robin after the Batmobile is announced since I think a lot of people want all three. Its younger, larger fanbase will save the DeLorean from the same sort of development hell limbo that has swallowed up the 66 Batmobile. More people are willing to drop $600+ for the former rather than the latter.

There are other decent versions of the DeLorean available that are pretty nicely detailed but not 1/6th. I doubt many people who are willing to pay the price of the Hot Toys DeLorean are interested in just it and no figures. And the Delorean stands on its own better, you don't need a figure to go in it but with the Batmobiles open canopy you need both Batman and Robin to go with it, which pushes the total price up quite a bit.
No I realize that. That's why I said if a person wanted just the DeLorean there are a number of options available that are pretty nice and don't cost near what the Hot Toys version will. I know for instance that I've eyed a couple made by Sunstar and Welly. Granted they aren't quite as detailed as the Hot Toys one will be and as far as I'm aware most don't have lights and whatnot but they aren't bad. As far as I'm aware the Hot Toys Marty is the first figure made from the film. I always wanted figures from the trilogy when I was a kid and always looked but never found any.If you're getting one, you almost have to get the other. It's not like you're getting a 1/18 DeLorean and there aren't any figures to go along with it (as far as I know).

Ah that sucks. I have the Sunstar (I think that's who makes it at least) gold DeLorean. It isn't bad for what it is, the only problem on mine is that the driver side door doesn't stay up. I always sort of wanted the Sunstar version of the DeLorean from Back to the Future Part III that was the rail tracks version without tires and stuff.Unfortunately, the Sunstar and Welly stuff is crap. My brother has the Sunstar BTTF II, one of the wheels - which are supposed to rotate for flight mode - broke much too easily.
