It definately will not be $400 but as pointed out, it will be in league with Nicolson and Reeves prices around $270 most likely.

This figure isn't coming out at today's prices, it's coming out at next year's prices. They presumably just signed the license late last year, they'll need at least a year to develop the prototype and get it approved, that's when they'll determine the price.

What if they pull a Bespin Luke on us and include two full figures in the box. . . with donations to MJF's charity in it?? That's Reeve x2 at next year's prices. I'm going on record saying people will be in sticker shock when this comes out. Of course, that's cheating because there will always be people complaining about the price, so I can't lose. :lol

There's far too many essential accessories and outfits for BTTF Marty for Hot Toys not to include everything they can and jack up the price.

Howard confirms they got it ?! :panic:

Wanna know how this makes me feel?

I will never buy another Custom figure as long as I live.

Is that your Marty Mag? He looks pretty fantastic, I wouldn't sweat it, the best I can fathom HT doing is matching that quality and what you have will still be more limited.

I mean how could you ask for more then Trevor sculpting, I'm hoping with every ounce of my being they keep Arnie Kim the hell away from this project or it could still end up as ruined as Indiana whoever thats supposed to be.

Pfft! Hot Toys will have hard time topping this, especially Trevor's amazing sculpt.

Maybe so, maybe not. I just hate being in this position. I will not have two Martys on my shelf and I know I won't be able to resist the Hot Toys figure.

Yeah, that's mine.

I wouldn't repent buying the Trev. custom. It's great.

I just hope this turns out like Reeve, where it is originally slated as DX but changed to MMS. I don't think PERS will work with a MJF sculpt.

You can't just quit collectin' awesome customz cuz some company MAY mass produce some o'it :cuckoo:

I only have one custom figure that wasn't later announced by a larger company, and that's my Van Zan (Reign of Fire) figure. He's obscure enough that I don't worry about an 'official' figure coming out. I also plan to make a custom David Dunn (from Unbreakable) which doesn't worry me at all either.

But something like Rainman's new Ras figure? Seems damn likely that Hot Toys will make him at some point and I don't really wanna gamble anymore.

Mags, if you feel regret, why not just re-sell it? I've gotta figure someone out there will still want the special nature of your (great) figure despite an HT version coming out. I bet you could get all your money back--at least--if you want to try and sell it now.

Just keep in mind. . .if you sell now anticipating the HT version, once you see an Arnie Kim DX Marty sculpt, you may feel regret of another kind :D

Well, I could keep the head and sell the rest, but I think it would be easier to sell him as a complete figure.

I'm going to dip my nuts into a paper shredder if Arnie Kim comes within 1000 yards of this project.

Great Scott! This is heavy!

I never thought I'd be happy about paying HT prices but compared with the custom I was tempted by this is gonna be a deal.

Gotta have DOC though or this license is useless.

Dude, keep your amazing custom. Someday... in the future... you will enjoy your custom much more than your old HT factory produced one. You can show your kids, see Dad made this one. Give the kids the old, haggard HT one to play with and you can keep your magical, made-by-true artists custom McFly.
