I don't understand why so many people dislike the design from the movie. I get that it is VERY different than the comic version, but Bane is probably my favorite DC villain (I don't know many) and I think it was a good interpretation. I am glad that they didn't do a Wrestlemania outfit, luchador outfit, or a dominatrix look like some of the cartoons.

Nolan wanted Bane to be a terrorist, but also wanted to give homage to the mask without making him comical. I think it is a great look.
