That seems to happen regularly due to this site :lol This is why I tend to tune out inaccuracies pointed out in the Star Wars threads. I don't want to know about them otherwise it will make me less happy with the Star Wars part of my collection most likely, which I don't want/need ruined for me. I ruin most of the DC stuff for myself already :slap
A few months ago, InArt Joker was the coolest and most impressive figure I’d ever PO’d. Now it’s an overpriced, anorexic, wonkey-eyed, bobble head.

JazzInc is also less tall so it’ll emphasise those 4” even more… Do as you with with that statement.

Is it possible there were two or more versions of the Batmobile? One for stationary car-porn shots and another, smaller, more manoeuvrable version for the driving scenes?

Jazz claims to be working from exact measurements.
Either way, I’ve always found the HT one to look amazing regardless of the inaccuracies, which I’m only now becoming aware of thanks to this site.
Thanks again for ruining something I otherwise would have believed was the absolute bee’s knees, by the way.

Ignorance was such sweet bliss.
The Hot Toys car is definitely too tall looking, but I think the conclusion was they had to do that to make Batman fit in the car with the canopy closed. So unless JazzInc’s gonna allow you to tear the seat out and knock a hole in the floor for Batman’s bottom to hang out, I gotta think they’re either going to also have to cheat the height up or regrettably inform buyers that the Hot Toys Batman can’t actually fit inside.

There were certainly multiple cars for the film that could do various prop effects but there wasn’t a big one and a little one.

And 4” longer than this? REally? 🤔

Lol. Probs 1300 AUD calling it now. I've had to seriously think about the figures i wanna get and leave some on the chopping block. Might have to pass on tobey and gobby for this alone lol.

That may be their retail price.

But after additional early preorder/member/pennies discounts over at Popcultcha, I'm guessing it'll come out to $1,000 to $1,100 AUD shipped ($1,300*90%*90%=$1,053 AUD). More often than not, I get Hot Toy pieces from them in hand at a cost lower than Sideshow's listed price adjusted to the Aussie dollar.

Looks like I was spot on. After discounts (including 10% pennies etc) you can order this for exactly $1,053 AUD ($725 USD) shipped from Popcultcha for any Australians.

The Hot Toys version being so boxy and tall has always bothered me the most about it. I never did a deep dive before into how "inaccurate" it is but just looking at it over the years, it always just looked too straight, uncurvy and tall from how I remember the vehicle being in the movie. I imagine a big part of that is indeed the cockpit area being too high up to accommodate fitting Batman in it, causing the entire vehicle to be too tall from the ground. It's like they took the entire vehicle and stretched it upwards. The middle section of the vehicle should sit way lower, giving the vehicle more of that slim look to it. As it is, it just looks too bulky. It's not slick and race car looking enough.

I also agree with your previous post that it seems too oversized? Or at least looks like it is compared to the one they used in the movie. Just look at how tiny Batman is in that photo you posted compared to how he looked standing next to it in the film. Again though, I've never studied enough about the Batmobile used in the film so not sure how accurate/inaccurate Hot Toys is compared to it. Not sure if they had various versions of it in the film.

Really interested in seeing if Jazz can accomplish a better version. At least from the render he has on his site, the canopy window already looks more accurate.

Thats a really good price. Whats average wait time for popcultcha? How soon do they get stuff once it's shipped. Is it before or later than other outlets

Much, much.......later.

Their stock essentially comes from Sideshow. So, a minimum of two months after Sideshow starts to ship them out.

I hope this gets a decent car chase scene in the Flash movie. I think it's the nicest batmobile by far, but it's chase scene from the museum in '89 is lame.

Nope, you have to get finger prints all over the back of the car by popping the 'trunk' off, where inside you put three AAA batteries and flip the on/off switch.

AAAs should work much better than coin cell batteries. If Hot Toys doesn't have some wonky electronics, they should last for a while and portability is a pro over having to be tethered to USB.

Having seen the film just few days ago, I have to agree. However, the sequence of its entrance in the batcave is for me the most epic bat-scene ever filmed. One wish it would never end...

Ye that was only site I seen was going to ask if they are ok to order from but price is high
Current UK options.
All trusted stores but there are varying estimated arrival dates. Seems that the cheapest options are waiting longest for their stock. Most likely they'll be getting second batches and having them shipped via slow boat. I have found Comics and Cocktails to be especially slow but admittedly have only used them for some sideshow figures.

Most expensive to cheapest

Just waiting on Planet Action Figures, InDemandToys and thegoodthebadandtherobots to round out all my regulars.

I'm still considering going with a HK store just as an experiment to see if something this big could clear customes unscathed.

My original release one came from HK to the U.K. back when it was first released and I used goodshipped. As usual marked as “low value birthday gift” & it sailed through.
No custom stops, no tax. Iv never had any custom stops or charges when ordering direct via HK & that must account for 90% off my 80 plus hot toys purchases including 2 tumblers & the Batmobile

I remember seeing the original Hot Toys release of this displayed in a hobby store. I believe it was approx. $700+ (shy of $800). Based purely on sight (I did not pick up or touch) I was disappointed as it had a toylike quality. It looked like it was very light. I was expecting it to look “heavy” and maybe have a “model” look, something that might have been used in the movie. It just didn’t look like $700+ Canadian dollars.
