Re: HT Batman 1989 Coming

I wasn't really looking forward to SDCC, just Ani-Com. However, Hideo Kojima will be at SDCC...maybe HT is planning a reveal then.

But damn...Nicholson and Keaton both at SDCC? Imagine this place when they put up even a teaser of the Bat symbol.

Re: HT Batman 1989 Coming

Hey Gruson - any word on any of the following from HT:

1. Rocky or Rambo
2. MGS
3. Avatar
4. Terminator?

HT did that poll on Stallone last year asking which character we'd like to see from them. Rambo won by a mile, just curious what might be coming up at SDCC and at Ani-Com.

Let me try and find out. We might see some news on the '89 Batmobile too.

Re: HT Batman 1989 Coming

Thanks brother. I'm sure a lot of the lads here will appreciate it too. Try and get as much info as possible. Any more details on Bats and Joker?

Re: HT Batman 1989 Coming

Crimson Viper is Hot Toys. Cammy is my wallet. This is what will happen at SDCC with an 89 Batmobile.

Wow, can't wait. Just out of curiosity, how accurate is your sources info most of the time?

Re: HT Batman 1989 Coming

89 Batman confirmed to be at SDCC !?!
....my interest in Toy Fair Bale just dropped to zero :lol

Has it been said that the 89 Batmobile will be revealed at SDCC? I hope so.

I don't think the 89 Batmobile is even a rumor is it? Think it was based on a bad translation of a Q&A.
I'd like to be wrong....I think this is the only HT 1/6 scale vehicle I'd lay out the cash for. It is THE movie car to me.

(well I'd probably be up for Mad Max's car as well but that's even more of a dream...)

Re: HT Batman 1989 Coming

The tumber was popular and sold well so think the 89 Batmobile would be as well.

And I would kill for a 1/6 HT Mad Max Interceptor.

Re: HT Batman 1989 Coming

The 89 Batmobile is amazing. I got a chance to see it at the Javits Center in NYC years and years ago and it was amazing in person...I wish I still had my poloaroid with it that they sold for 5$, also the cockpit was open and I snapped a pic of it, sadly I lost that too it was badass though.

So no pics? It didn't happen

I'm not sure if it'll be at SDCC but the translation wan't bad as far as HT making it.

I'd like a Mad Max first (though they can skip straight to Road Warrior if they want). Why the hell has nobody picked up the license yet? :(

Re: HT Batman 1989 Coming

I doubt that I want this figure but if it's as nice as hot toys' latest things than I'm getting it. It'll be a hard choice.

Beacuse it's only us same 8 guys who seem to want it. Damn shame. If "Road Warrior" opened today as some little gem from Australia the kids would go nuts. I mean, its got a guy in black who doesn't say much and who kicks all kinds of ass. Kids today like that, don't they?

Re: HT Batman 1989 Coming

Keaton Batman is all I want. 89 Batmobile is Nirvana.

Aside from speaking as a fan this would sell VERY well. I'd buy it up like nobodys business. Mad Max >>>>>>>>> than most anything (action wise) made over the past 20+ years. Also Mel Gibson eff'n rules :rock

Re: HT Batman 1989 Coming

I'm trying to source a reasonably priced 1:18 scale Hotwheels 89 Batmobile on eBay - just the regular release not the elite, & to date.. I've been fighting a somewhat losing battle. One of those great cars will be a brilliant companion piece to the (hopefully) stunning HT Keaton Batman, so I push on in my quest!

Some of the asking prices out there though, are not only frustratingly high, but unrealistic too. Still, if the demand's there.. folks will pay those prices unfortunately. You could apply that to a lot of things I guess..
