Rubber eventually cracks and breaks down. How long it will take depends on many variables. Enjoy them while you can.

IN SOVIET RUSSIA RUBBER BREAKS DOWN YOU!

My Takara Batman is still flawless. Isn't even dusty for some reason.

If it weren't for the BW sculpt on this one, I wouldn't even bother.

also had a fiew shiny spots, on the head tough. But I used a hairdryer on it for about a minute and it's for 99,9 % gone.
No big deal really ;)

.....

That was Painful to watch .. why would anyone want to pose their Figures like that? to prove it can pose? .. sounds like almost like a Dare Game if you can do something dangerous

If it's Hot Toys Fault,, how About throwing a figure out the window from the second floor and still blame hot Toys? i need a Refund

I posted those pics in the cap. america thread and those were the reason for cancelling my order with SSC.

If I spent a generous amount of money in an ACTION FIGURE, at least should be posseable.... Come on, just for 100$ more you have a statue or PF with the same results of mobility and sure it would have less (or any) issues.

As I've been reading around here, people defends a neutral pose, just standing..

Yeah, he is an action figure, not a statue. These things are too expensive to have a limited shelf life.

I read more than just shiny butt. There seems to be an overall attention to detail to the paint coat, particularly around the emblem. If I am going to take my chance with a rubber suit, I'd rather take it with the 89 Batman than this one.

:exactly: :exactly: :goodpost: :goodpost:

I need to be more selective with my Hot Toys purchases now, and this is fast becoming more of a liability, other non-rubber figures last years longer than this and can pull off more poses as a figure.

I've got it ordered with SSC, i'm not sure yet if i'll cancel now or wait a bit, or get it see in-hand and return it if it has problems.

Reading that back. A customer shouldn't automatically expect this to have problems that damage the figure and make it so restricted and only last a short while.

Other HT figures don't have this, and this isn't their first Batman it's their fourth, these issues should've been resolved as soon as it occured.

It's mass production and money. Instead of reinvesting it into R &D for better materials and production, it's probably going to all the top people at Hot Toys, etc. You can't tell me in 2011 you can't make a rubber suited action figure that can't last for decades in a house, under normal temperatures and taken care of properly. This was the same crap SSC's tried to feed me about the ROTLA Indy Jacket. "It must be the humidity levels." Well, should only certain states and countries receive them if they meet the humidity levels? lol I wouldn't say anything if these figures were 80 bucks like my 12 inch Han Solo, etc. but at nearly the price of a PF statue, they better last a long time. Hell, my 1970's/1980's Star Wars figures are still around and have been in all kinds of temperatures.

I'm not worried about this figure at all at this point. Way too early for chicken little syndrome, imho.

I agree everyone shouldn't cancel. Mine was in part due to the potential problem, but more so that I'd rather put the funds toward my favorite incarnation of Batman, the 1989 one.

Well, if it's a financial issue and you'd rather spend the money elsewhere or on a different product that's certainly understandable.

But if it's a concern over QC, I'd wait it out. Worst case, you could always return for refund or sell.

It was mainly financial but concern about beign burnt twice in the same year...1st was the ROTLA jacket issue.

This is a general question for those who are getting this.

How many minds has it crossed to those who mainly want this for the BW head to get it, keep the head, and try to sell the rest on here or E-bay for around $200-220 rather than cancelling the order outright? I mean you have time to decide (aka. put it up on E-bay..see what happens) before shipping it back to SS.

Thoughts..?
