Re: 1/6 Hot Toys: MMS Batman vs. Superman: DoJ- Wonder Woman Collectible Figure

You dislike the suit? It's classic. It's probably the most comic book suit ever. It's Jim Lee batman meets frank miller dark knight. I love the suit. I'm biased but still...

Yeah I just don't care for it and Batman is my favorite character. The first suit I never really cared for. Although it looks decent in that pic, I just think he is to big and bulky. He looks Bane sized. My original opinion on the suit was based on this picture...

To me it looks like it is made out of duct tape and mesh. The cowl and cape have always looked good. Bat symbol is fine. I don't really care for the utility belt, needs more color.

I actually just settled for the Arkham City 1/6th Batman to go with my MoS Superman. Hopefully come SDCC better pics will be revealed to sway my opinion, but as of now it is just meh.

I get it, you like what everything you're seeing so far.

I never thought about it that way but maybe... yeah. They don't look tough they look like they are about to make a very expensive porn movie but that's fine they are a bunch of pretty people. I think the DC movies respect more the original campy design of the costumes maybe that's why they don't look very "tough"

Pretty big spoiler

I can see them making Doomsday aswell.

Is that confirmed? thought it was just a rumor. But then again I didn't even bother to read anything related to this movie

Do you guys think Hot Toys will do a Bruce Wayne (Ben Affleck) figure for their BvS line?

They love to milk batman so yeah :lol I think so

Re: 1/6 Hot Toys: MMS Batman vs. Superman: DoJ- Wonder Woman Collectible Figure

I am extremely pleased they went with the grey and black for Batman. I was never a fan of the all black suit going back to 1989.

My only nitpick is that the cowl looks too squared off by the neck. Perhaps if the chin opening was wider, it would look a little better.

Re: 1/6 Hot Toys: MMS Batman vs. Superman: DoJ- Wonder Woman Collectible Figure

I'm no Marvel faboy, but no one here really looks "tough"

...but i'm gonna act like one! :slap

No one looks "tough"..? Seriously?
So who are you comparing this out of context magazine cover too exactly – for toughness?

Sorry, but they are without doubt the three of the best comic book costumes (that will be) on film to date.
And as for the comment about Batman looking hunched over... how can you base anything of a few still shots? Especially when the only clear shot we get of Batman from the trailer, he moves smoothly and doesn't looked hunched at all!
Also, people complained about the thin neck of Bale's batman in TDK adn TDKR, now he's got the "panther" neck, still complaints!

I get that haters are gonna hate – It just seems that haters are hating on DC movies with no reason or substance!

Re: 1/6 Hot Toys: MMS Batman vs. Superman: DoJ- Wonder Woman Collectible Figure

Exactly.

Also
according to the synopsis, there's still a large threat in BvS that hasn't been revealed yet.

"Fearing the actions of a god-like super hero left unchecked, Gotham City’s own formidable, forceful vigilante takes on Metropolis’s most revered, modern-day savior, while the world wrestles with what sort of hero it really needs. And with Batman and Superman at war with one another, a new threat quickly arises, putting mankind in greater danger than it’s ever known before."

That's definitely not just Lex.

I have every faith in DC and Snyder in providing a villain or villains who will have a genuine sense of threat about them –*let's face it, regardless of what you think of MOS, General Zod is a better villain than anything Marvel has managed to come up with so far – in fact only Ledger's Joker beats him so far... Loki comes close, but that's more down to Hiddleston's charm than character.

Anyone trying to compare Luthor and Thanos know nothing about comics!

I'm sure it's a possibility, but I think they'll want to wait and see how the film and the line itself does before they do a Bruce Wayne. Hopefully both do really well because not only would I like to see a Bruce Wayne figure, but I'd also like to see a Cavill Clark Kent figure.

Re: 1/6 Hot Toys: MMS Batman vs. Superman: DoJ- Wonder Woman Collectible Figure

I think it's safe to assume that we'd get 2 Batflecks from BvS, one regular, one armored. And I'm excited for both :)

Re: 1/6 Hot Toys: MMS Batman vs. Superman: DoJ- Wonder Woman Collectible Figure

Affleck definitely looks hunched up in all the photos I've seen of him in the costume. He looks hunched up in the photo a few posts above this one too. It looks to be caused by the suit's cowl--it accentuates his shoulders and trapezius muscles so much that he looks like he doesn't have a neck. I still like it better than the Bale costume, but hopefully it will be modified a bit for the movie.

Gadot looks great in her outfit. Really I couldn't have asked for anything better. No silly bathing suit, but they still kept the iconic look.

Re: 1/6 Hot Toys: MMS Batman vs. Superman: DoJ- Wonder Woman Collectible Figure

Am def getting me WW figure!!!!! cant wait.

The armored up Bats will no doubt be an awesome figure too.

Yeah it's not the best pic. It was done early on. Suit has a couple little tweaks. The lack of belt color is a deliberate choice. If you are going for a stealthy look, a realistic one, a bright gold belt is a bit silly. And we built one for the suit. Tried it out. It just drew your eye to the wrong section, if you know what I mean. I actually have that belt hanging in my closet. Lol

And given that a lot of Wayne tech is military repurposed...no military items gonna want showy on the battle field. I get its more iconic. More comic. But it just didn't look right. Well a bright colored one anyway. If it makes the final cut we did a flashback suit that's a lot more showy and Classic..blue instead of black..(it's a darker blue not baby blue) and a bronze belt. And showed why he transitioned to a stealthy look. Especially as he gets older. This version of bats has been at it for 25 years. Over 30 if you count training. That's a long time to be any type of athlete/fighter

As for arkham bats...I love that look too. But I'm not sure I follow on the whole doj suit is to thick so I went with arkham..given that the arkham figure is HUGE and just as thick. Lol I love that suit though. Not a big fan of the cowl. I prefer the short ears. But it's still cool

Re: 1/6 Hot Toys: MMS Batman vs. Superman: DoJ- Wonder Woman Collectible Figure

I'd love to see this Affleck Batman don a dark blue costume with a yellow bat oval. That would be awesome.

I can understand that. With all the pics from the DC movies they want to be as realistic as possible, it makes perfect sense. Whether or not that is the best route is still up for debate I think. Some of the Suicide Squad set photos featuring the character outfits I do not like, but it makes sense in the direction they are trying to go with there films. When it comes down to it, I will see both movies, Im not going to boycott them. Its a movie about my favorite character, I will see it. I have yet to not like a Batman film, animated or otherwise, so chances are I will like this as well.

As for Bats looking to big... the EW cover looks to be a bad angle, I mean he looks like some fat dude that is jacked. In the picture I provided he looks more Batman to me, still big, but in a good way. Arkham Batman is pretty big... but I don't know... Rocksteady made it work really well where I did not question it. I looked on my screen and thought that is Batman.

Re: 1/6 Hot Toys: MMS Batman vs. Superman: DoJ- Wonder Woman Collectible Figure

Since I just bought Superman from Man of Steel off ebay...I would only be in for Batman and Wonder Woman. And is it too much to ask from Hot Toys for them to make Bruce Wayne?

I'd say chances are good since we got Bale and Keaton. It seems like Batfleck is here for the long haul and not a one-off like those other two from the 90s.

Not Hot Toys but close enough. Can't wait for the figures to be announced.
