That's because Hamill seems to show actual gratitude for the thing that launched his career.
In the sense it turned Ford into a superstar yeah. He was in an Oscar nominated film before that albeit a cameo (the conversation) and he was working as a carpenter at the time of star wars so the story goes.

Seriously tempted to use the bits from my SS Hoth Han to start a kitbash. Now that Lando’s on the shelf, he’s such a glaring omission.
I just cant find a good head...I mean sculpt? Anyway, either the hair is wrong or he has sideburns or both. If anyone finds a good one let me know please.

Every time this thread gets bumped I die a little inside.

I wonder if it’s Harrison being stingy with the likeness, Howard Chan refusing to make Ford figures after Harrison broke one on live tv, or just stupid decision making on why we don’t have a new hot toys of Harrison Fords Han Solo

Feel the room before digging this thread up.

We have exactly 2 Harrison Ford han figures (I don’t count the farce awakens version). One is a trooper. Seems sketchy.

If HT seemingly are never going to produce this, how would everyone feel if SS revisited this version of the scoundrel?

OMG news!?

Oh, nothing new, people still *itching about... :lol

As to the supposed "offense" ...
I doubt anyone (who isn't an over sensitive fan without a sense of hummer) took it personal, it was obviously a gag.
If anything anyone at HT were likely excited to see the figure show UP on Late Night, even to be cantankerously destroyed by Ford.

Ford has been playing the grouchy I want out of Star Wars guy for decades, Carrie Fisher used to joke about being haunted by the character and merchandise too, she made a whole beloved routine about it. The whole shtick is about actors surviving beyond a beloved character and their own merchandise and likeness - that seems to become greater than anything they'll ever do or say after the fact. Always overshadowing and intruding on everything else they may do.
They both wonderfully play(ed) that bitter part to a hysterical degree for laughs,
Yet in any serious context they both always praised Lucas' characters, and his vision. Everyone gets it, except the most uptight fans.
This is comedy. :lol
Just some oversensitive delusional fans inserting themselves and their feelings in the narrative.
Or others who convinced Ford has some personal vendetta against them having the figure, Imagining he personally denied the licence to spite them. :lol

It's more likley Hot Toys looks for windows, when things will sell most (not average), and adjust accordingly. New shows (and even their new secondary characters), with hot "new" gimmicks, themes, (paint aps), etc. all get bumped ahead, as the windows to sell them while they are still "new" is limited. They'll only sell while the show or gimmick is still hot, but not after the fact.
While classic characters like a Han will always sell well, about the same regardless of when they are released, so they can sit on them indefinitely, always maintaining anticipation in the line. While other characters with small (now or never) windows get bumped ahead.

It's like Pokymonkey, they know once you get that final golden snitchakoo, the high fades, you'll lose interest in the line, and stop buying all that other random secondary crap they shove out there.

Maybe toys era will give it a shot?

There's been incredibly few Star Wars third party figures. I mentioned it in some forum or group and someone over in China or HK said that Lucasfilm is a lot better at keeping their license in check than Marvel, despite them both being owned by Disney. It is crazy that nobody is even making cheap troopers that'd sell well.

It's all Ford and if I were betting part of his negotiations for TFA was giving him all the control over his likeness again. He basically had them by the balls to give them one last movie and say bye. There's been basically NOTHING else except TVC and Black Series Ford figures. No other properties, no statues, nothing high end. It's gotta be all Ford.
