^^^That first pic is incredible.

I had the same issue with my left boot (right when facing him). I went to SSC live chat today and requested for a replacement. SSC will ship a replacement boot in 3-4 days.

Just left a message at Sideshow. Hope they call back before Friday.

Dopeness. Plan on taking similar pics tomorrow.

This makes me shake my head in dissapointment. My first Hot Toys order through Sideshow as well as my first Batman figure and this is what happens. How can I trust Hot Toys after such a mess up. Still, mine hasn't come yet so I still have some hope that all will be well.

DX02 was far worse of an eff up in my opinion. Broken boots can be fixed. Inconvenient? Yes! But the leaky rubber on the DX02 can't be stopped, just cleaned up.

SS finally charged my cc yesterday, now I am scary, so much things to be worried about:

- ankle
- abs
- suit
- the shine on the HS

....

For those curious how the BW head will look on the Takara figure:

Notes:

1) Keep in mind my Takara is beefed up. This might be dwarfing the head a bit, although the cotton I added to the suit did not make his shoulders any wider.

2) The Takara head-sculpt is actually smaller than the HT one, so if it looks weird here it's not because the head's way too small.

3) It looks weird because the neck is too short. The head is just perched on there. It's not snug at all. If you wanted a longer neck you would have to rig it up somehow.

Comparison shots:

Longer neck looks better.

For head size:

The screw is just to give the two heads a similar angle.

And yes, my Takara has crossed eyes. :)

No problem with mine. BW head popped off easily, cape installed after a few minutes of effort (reading the instructions actually helps), no creases in the abs & solid feet. Cape lays fairliy flat on the shoulders IF you fold it in underneath itself.

Got mine 2day along with Supes...pics coming 2mar i hope if time permits! Awesome figures!!

Well. Got Mine, everything is perfect except for his left leg. Do you guys know the e-mail off the top of your head to contact sideshow so I can get a new boot haha :(

More Takara comparisons:

The straight traps on the Takara have always bugged me. The slopping shoulders on the HT figure are much more real looking.

Shoulder width comparison. Keep in mind I did not widen the shoulders on the Takara:

Gauntlets:

The Takara gauntlets are quite a bit longer. I wonder if that's screen accurate. Regardless, I like the longer gauntlets and plan to use them on the HT figure. :)

No expert on shape or size, but yeah, the finish is more accurate. But a small thing of gloss black should help the HT ones.

How do you know if the ankles are broken? The joints seem pretty loose and they swivel side to side a bit, but I don't know if that's common for the Hot Toys Batman figures.

Received mine and...

Forehead paint rub, check

Deformed suit around ribs, check

Left boot (right as you look at it) falls off, check

Seems like HT has some very consistent QC issues with this one. Sideshow has been helpful so far, though.

Try to displace the foot to anything but a neutral position and it just springs back to neutral instead of staying displaced. The foot peg is not being engaged by the connector in the boot (i.e. the connector itself is missing pieces/defective).

Mine arrived tonight. I have a bit of the indention on the left abs, not quite as bad as others have shown. I probably won't worry about it much. My feet are both just fine, and nothing is scuffed or shiny. So, all things considered, while he's not perfect, it's good enough it would probably be unwise to try any exchanges etc. More than likely I'd just trade one issue for another. I put a blue arrow showing where the rubber is warped a bit for those who care. You can tell by the curve on the side that's not on the other side. But, I will say, this picture makes it show up a good deal more than if you were gazing over my display. I doubt you'd ever notice. This rubber warping issue IMO may be due to how thin it is. I had no idea it would be this thin. If they increased the rubber thickness, it would make it more resilient and less likely to warp over time, or during production. But, that may also reduce articulation.

The cape clips were a pain, and the head went on hard, as others have mentioned. I was worried about rubbing off the coating while putting those on, but managed not to harm it from what I can tell. I agree with everyone else that has said be careful putting the accessories on.

All in all, I think the picture (as bad as my camera is requiring flash for anything to show up) shows I could have done a lot worse in terms of QC on my figure. And, the Iforgino cape makes it all that much better. And, I finally have a Batman! :yess:

What're they gonna do for you? The deformed suit seems unfixable short of a whole new figure.
