looks like a have a dent in the rubber suit there!

When I was pushing on the batman head, the suit was riding up his body a bit, which cause a slight dent/bubble right at the abs. I noticed this after I took the photos, and "slid" or "pushed" the suit down a bit on his body, and all is well. The only thing I need to check now is the HS, just too make sure there are no shinny spots.

I guess I got lucky too. Mine just arrived and it's in great shape. The only complaint I've got is that one of the knee pads is a little crooked. Does anyone know for sure if those are glued on? I wouldn't mind removing it and gluing it back on myself.

Also, the Bale head is kinda wobbly. I've never had a figure quite like this before and I'm a little nervous about even removing it. I'm guessing it just pulls straight off like every other Hot Toys head? My only other experience has been with the various Iron Man figgers.

Otherwise, I'm just shocked and relieved that I don't have any of the real problems the rest of you guys are having. That really REALLY sucks. But I'm pleased as punch with mine. I'll eventually post some pics. I love the fine detail on the boots and gloves. Macro time! Gonna hafta order one of lforigno's custom capes too. I like the one it came with, but his are zomg awesome and I like supporting individuals who put time and effort into their hobby.

Well, you shouldn't be having ANY problems at all.

:nono Honestly, I wouldn't go anywhere near the suit with a hairdryer. :lol

Well I think your going to have to anyways if you want to remove the head and hands without a chance of breaking them. I wouldn't put it on high or get it to close, just warm it up a little. I've already checked mine 3 times and it looks fine. I'm really happy it's problem free so far. :yess:

I prefer the boil 'n dip method over the hair dryer. You can isolate the pieces you want removed without worrying about potential damage to the suit.

I worry about mold if water gets under the suit. But if you careful should be no problem. Problem is when people just start pull out hands and heads without warming them up a little.

For all the whining that goes on here, you'd be surprised how many people keep the pieces. :lol

People have their reasons for keeping these figures, and I can't think of a figure I've bought where it was a zero sum game between me being happy or not. We know these rarely are perfect, and it's always a question of where we set the bar for the defects we're willing to allow. Some people have zero tolerance, others are more forgiving. But, keeping the figure, doesn't mean the complaints aren't justified.

But, if we're talking about someone with complaints and a vocal desire to get back at HT, while keeping the figure, I can see your point and :lol. Mine's not perfect, but I don't have any other Batman, and I do like the figure. So, I expect I'll keep it, with the exception of the stand where they put the name plaque on crooked and the gray line where they are shown now to line it up is exposed. I figure with how many exchanges SSC is going through, they should have plenty of stands lying around to swap with me.

I worry about the rubber suit getting "sticky" after a long period of time

I've seen the type of coating they put on the suit on other stuff before. Electronics with bright colored and metallic shine surfaces sometimes come with that soft rubber coating. I don't recall any of those things becoming tacky, but I think the oldest stuff that comes to mind did get waxy at some point. Also, some deck boxes for collector cards have it, such as these, which I have one that's at least 5 years old that hasn't changed a bit:

Thought I would get one with the extra cellophane head sculpt !!!

Same here. I followed their directions and emailed the photos to SS on Monday this week. Still no response so far. :gah:

Same here. Now that this figure is back "in stock", I have a little more hope for a replacement. I hope they do the right thing and take care of us.

I know it must have been asked before...

What do I have to do in order to get a rep, acement for my defective boot? Have been on the SSC side, but did only find an option to return the whole figure. Any help will be highly appreciated. Thx in advance. :duff

I nuke a teacup for a minute and dip the head, hands, whatever. The part being removed is the only part that gets wet.

It's mainly the whining by people who're overly dissatisfied by the figure so much that they're trolling hate, yet still have the figure. I will never understand that mindset. Return the ****** thing and spend your money on something that'll make you happy. :lol
