Can't believe some of you are willing to keep a lemon only because a custom cape makes him look better? Sideshow has a 30 day return policy, am I the only one who actually cares about money being well spent? I have this guy coming on Monday and after tallying the last 100 pages or so I say I have a more than reasonable chance of getting a dud. Either replace the figure or give me back my money, the $225 I gave up was defect-free as should be the other half of the transaction.

I don't feel it was a lemon, I have no issues and I am totally in love with this figure. The cape makes the figure look better, the stock cape SUCKS but the figure itself is great, money well spent.

@highlander: Congrats on your issue-free Batman! :clap

Thanks, after reading the last 20 pages I really feel lucky. :yess:

If you mean from Sideshow then shipping is $25 and then you'll have 20% VAT & £10 fedex fee. :)

So about £16 shipping and £40 customs crap? Wow. Not for me, then.

Incidentally do UK freaks ever get hit by customs charges from Hong Kong? I never used to, but I wondered if it had changed since I used to buy regularly, about two years ago.

I just received mine today. I was expecting to get a dud, but fortunately, the gods of collecting smiled upon me and gave me that is problem free.

is it me or does that head seem really small? I used a dyed Bank Robber Joker suit and the Police Joker white shirt but something seems off, maybe a better tie?

It's the head. Too small. Added to the fact that he needs a longer neck

:goodpost:

The thing I worry about is that these 'problem-free' figures are only lulling people into a false sense of security and that it may be they simply haven't gotten 'round to breaking yet.....

Knees snapping, boot sockets disintegrating...if its happening on so many...

For all the whining that goes on here, you'd be surprised how many people keep the pieces. :lol

As someone stated earlier in the thread, the rubber on this one seems to be thinner/flimsy as compared to the OC Bats. Any opinions on which kind will hold on in the long run, as in getting brittle over a period of time, the thick or the thin one?

Just opened this guy up, straight away the box is awesome in hand but there is so much cellophane on the figure no wonder there are paint rubs on them. Luckily mine is A1 YAY thanks SSC not hot toys though...how dare they play with my emotions......:pfft:

Mine should be here today. This is one that I have been anticipating for a while and you guys have me so nervous right now. I hope that mine is not a dud.

wow, nice really nice, how did u get the clip to go with the cape? did u sew it?

I just made two really small cuts in the cape for the pegs. I draped the cape over the body with and without the head on, and eye-balled where they should go.

Someone ought to contact the gaming commission to see if Sideshow have a licence for this lottery they're running.

I feel so bad for everyone who is having issues!

Fortunately, I had ZERO issues when I opened him up tonight. Since this is my first Batman, I quickly measured the cape, and myself one that is more of a matte leather looking material (similar to his suit). I know it isn't "movie accurate" but I love the way it looks!
