I actually think it'd be awesome if they released the Batcave in segments. Not completely, but, as you mentioned, Alfred and the workshop, Bruce Wayne and the Robin Memorial, and then, maybe, release the Batsuit vault like one of the Hall of Armor dios. Include an empty cowl for use with the Batman figure and Bing, bang, boom; you're done.

Sadly, it seems like this could only happen with Cosbabies. :dunno
I'd also like to see them make a Bruce Wayne figure in his grey suit & black coat from that one Empire Magazine cover. empire_cover.jpg
Though it wasn't in the movie, it would look awesome.

Thats true there are some gems, Odin came with an excellent cape and the new returns Batman is also pretty great. I dont mind Thor or Loki's cape either its just always comes down to the material, thats why Tony Meis are a bit come of as a bit pricey but when side by side you see why. I hope this Batman comes with a good one, definetly want to hold on to some cash to find a way to get a Kryptonite spear if available at some point

I have an Odin figure and I really like the cape on that, same with the BR Keaton figure. The Christoper Reeve Supes cape is pretty nice also and has a nice feel. Like I said, I really like the pleats on the MoS and the Thor capes and the way they drape, but I just wish they were made out of more of a slightly thicker "cloth" type material as opposed to the smoother material with a silky feel.

In MoS for instance, it seems like his cape has more of a velvet type look and feel to it, based on these particular pictures. Something closer to the material of what Odin's cape was made out of I think would have matched a bit more.

While in BvS, it looks like it has a different texture to it with lines in it.

Finally got to see the movie, don't bag on me, taking care of 4 kids and a wife who is not well and awaiting surgery. Loved the movie! Glad a withheld judgement on him. I learned my lesson back in 89 with Keaton. Will be getting WW , Superman, and Batman. Already have black chrome on preorder, reminds me of Miller bats. Great movie and can not wait to add it to my big bku ray movie collection and the figures to my 1/6 collection. Hoping batmobile not released so to save me the money lol.

Sorry to hear about your wife, hope everything goes well. Glad you got around to seeing the film and enjoyed it. I greatly enjoyed it also.

Thanks my friend , appreciate the kind words for my wife. I really loved the movie. I thought Nolan would be tough to match, but for me it did. Eisenberg would have made a better Joker though. But it worked. Jeremy Irons was a nice Alfred. Like how they made him more than a butler, he kinda was like Tony Stark with mechanical and technical skill. Awesome movie imo. Glad I went in with zero expectations.

No problem. :duff

Yeah, Eisenberg's portrayal of Lex was a bit reminiscent of Ledger's Joker. I thought it worked though and he did a great job. Like you also mentioned, Alfred in this film seemed like he was an amalgam of actual "Alfred" and Lucius Fox's role in TDK trilogy; Jeremy Irons' Alfred provided moral guidance how Alfred generally does and he also did the technical aspect as well. I thought it was a cool take on the character.

Eisenberg did do a great job. Great range in his acting when he was giving the speech at the event at LexCorp. I really think they did a great job in casting. Some day it was slow, but I enjoyed every minute of it. The only thing I am iffyon is flash. Guess I watched too much of the tv show. Looking forward to the stand alone batman film that Affleck will direct. He is a good director and he really redeemed himself from Dare Devil for sure. That is a distant bad memory now.

Agreed. The scene of him giving the speech at LexCorp was great. I also like his interaction with Superman on top of the skyscraper. With the Daredevil Netflix series, Affleck's Daredevil has been long forgotten for me.

Agreed- his portrayl was far better than Spacey's awful Lex and I am so tired of that interpretation of him. Apparently so was Snyder.

Like Routh's Superman in mimicking Reeve, he was told to essentially just mimic Hackman's Lex. The safe route, so to speak.

that whole movie was a misfire- a reboot but copying the rebooted material. I don't hate it but it just didn't click much with me

Yes, I quite enjoy SR for what it was intended to be, which is a vague sequel to Superman and Superman II. It's basically an updated take on Reeve's Superman, which I enjoyed seeing being that I greatly enjoy the Reeve films. Singer took what he felt would be the safe route though and tried to simply rehash what everyone is already accustomed to. However, that style of Superman apparently didn't translate well with modern times and proved to be antiquated. Too much like Reeve and not enough action. We want something different and with more action where Superman actually throws a punch, is what many of the criticisms were.

Snyder had the balls to try a different spin on the character to make him relatable in today's world while still keeping the foundation and the essence of the character in tact, and I feel accomplished exactly that: Did something different and gave it more action and had Superman throw punches. However, it was criticized for being not enough like Reeve and that the action sequences were merely nothing more than a CGI fest.

So to put it succinctly, here's what you end up with:

SR = Too much like Reeve. Not enough action.
MoS/BvS = Not enough like Reeve. Too dark and too much action.

I'm sorry but eisenberg was atrocious.. He's the same guy in every movie.. Same dumb delivery, same snarky personality, same everything. Except with this, it looked like he was trying too hard to do something he's not good at. So, not only was it the usual eisenberg, but it was an eisenberg with a poser-ish tinge to it. It was really a cringe-worthy performance.

And don't misunderstand.. I'm on board with a different kind of Luthor. What they were going for, on paper, sounds great. But eisenberg is completely the wrong person to have tried to pull it off. It just really didn't work. He seemed more like a baby than a really intelligent slightly insane megalomaniac. It all just came across as really disingenuous.

To me, it felt like they were going for their version of ledgers joker, only ledger could actually act and play different characters, eisenberg can't. It's a bummer, I thought the rest of the cast did a great job, but eisenberg really pulls it down a peg (or two).

Oh well, what sucks is that clearly he's going to be back. I could deal with him for one movie and get over it.. But I hate that it looks like he's going to be a lynchpin villain.

I liked Eisenberg to be honest - but I appreciate where you're coming from. I don't agree he's a bad actor, but do agree he plays the same kinda character most movies... but so does Robert Downey Jnr - Iron Man rescued his career and reputation in Hollywood... but the extra attention to him highlights that he pretty much plays the same character every movie... His Sherlock Holmes is very Tony Stark for example – but lots of actors are guilty of the same, and it's only a problem if you don't like the actor in question. It's the reason I still haven't seen Deadpool!

On SR – Routh did great, the movie let him down. Spacey was a great choice for Luthor, but then they had him impersonate Hackman and gave him another scheme which basically boiled down to Lex getting his hands on real estate! Lois was completely miscast and the whole storyline with the kid was awful... there were some great set pieces in there though - saving the shuttle/plane is an amazing action sequence... still beats a lot of more recent CBM action set pieces for me.

One of the things about BvS that I wasn't expecting to like was the take on Lex Luthor. I really loved the performance and thought it was a lot more interesting than the character has been portrayed on screen before.

I totally agree with you on this. Routh was fine as Superman, hell he could have been great if given a better script and a better film to showcase what he could do. I've come to this conclusion over the last couple of years watching him play Ray Palmer on Arrow, The Flash and now Legends of Tomorrow. The guy brings out all the qualities of a great superhero character--charisma, charm and a square jaw sense of righteousness. That's everything Superman needs. Its too damn sad that Superman Returns was a mess cause Routh's Superman could have been the stuff of legend. And that's nothing against Henry Cavill either. I love the guy cause he brings all that stuff I just mentioned to the table. But Routh lost out.
