It's kind of odd that the Knightmare version will probably arrive before this version. I'd think they'd come about the same time given they're similar and that this one adds more tailored items that have to be made.

So I just realized he sniper rifle isn't coming with armored bats or regular bats exclusive? Was there an armored bats exclusive on SS with the rifle? I see the rifle is various show display pics.

It looks to me like instead of including an exclusive item for armored Bats, they made an entire version(The black chrome one). Seems like a fair compromise in my opinion.

Not sure if I should pull the trigger on this one just yet. Might have to wait it out to see if there is a Suicide Squad version and also to see what it will look like at SDCC.

Hopefully, someone will do a review soon. I'm interested to know if they put a full upper suit underneath that coat. Or if they took the cheap way out. It will also tell us the material of the suit itself and the articulation on the shoulder if the regular suit is underneath.

My mistake was assuming rifle was part of armored bats package as I saw rifle displayed with armored bats. I missed the rifle in the normal bats exclusive but glad it's there. Yes a black chrome version is a good exclusive for armor. I'm happy all around just need the rifle as its a key reference piece to the Frank Miller DKR.

I feel like they're gonna go the Rescue Cap route and just have the upper body in the suit. To put the pants over a padded and costumed bottom would probably affect articulation and add bulk to the legs. That's my guess but who knows.

This is what I was thinking also. Rescue Cap and the SSM shirt underneath is what came to mind.

I know that's what they're doing for the pants. I meant they might have cheapened out by havinh the upper suit as cut off at the shoulders and that the batsuit sleeves are not underneath the coat. I believe they did the same thing with rescue cap.

If they did do that, it would probably allow for better articulation. Based on what the suit looks like on regular Bats, articulation already looks like it may be limited on that. Adding another layer of clothing (the coat) would only further hinder it.

I really do think they are taking extra time on the regular version to beef it up more and make even more improvements on the suit.

I really really hope so. I'd like them to knock it out of the park first run versus having to buy repeats with minor improvements.

Lol J/K man. I'd like that too, but it's HT. HT is all about incremental improvements.

Even if they knock the sculpt out of the park this time, they'll just reuse that sculpt and repaint it. Cap has been using essentially the same sculpts since the Strike Suit figure and Cap figures always still seem to sell quite heavily. They make improvements in other areas of the figure though.

They won't knock it out of the park in all facets of the figure through. Articulation, for instance.

I would say Hot Toys passes on making a Batman figure for Suicide Squad. I feel like they should wait for JL.

Your probably right. Just to get us that Batman breathing mask perhaps. Wishful thinking would give us the Affleck head sculpt, if that's the case then I'm pre-ordering.

I'm not sure we'll get a SS Batman and if we do I doubt he will come with a Wayne head sculpt.
There still is a chance for a Wayne and/or a Kent figure from BVS in my opinion.
