Looks awesome huge difference are you the owner of the custom one he just posted up on facebook?

Yeah =)
He's a good friend of mine. Normally he doesn't do customs like this for anyone. I don't blame him and you wouldn't either if you saw just how busy he was lol

Just want to reiterate that Tony can probably explain this better than I can and that he might do a video or better tutorial if his busy schedule fills up:
1. Cowl reshape: reheated the cowl and shaped it so that it's not pointing down as much
2. And 3. Unzipped the suit, pulled the suit a bit lower. Takes a bit of futzing. Also glued the top portion of the suit so it hugs the body a little bit tighter above bat symbol insignia
4. Weathered the bat logo with silver lining to more accurately represent the batsuit in the film. Tony has pictures of the actual bat suit on display at WB studios and he used it as a template for the bat logo weathering and the weathering on the belt.
5. Repositioned pieces on the belt with glue to accurately represent the belt in the film
6. The stock cape is way too long. Cut and recut the edges to mimic the stock jagged effect
7. Reheated the gauntlets to better position the fists
8. Removed the boots and futzed around the pants to give a better representation of muscular pants and a muscular crotch. LOL

Hope this helped a little.

Thanks man, :hi5: I'm so glad you said he heated the cowl to soften in place instead of gluing it down

I would've never thought of heating the cowl or gluing the top of the chest armor

Jumped on waitlist for both regular and EX. Kicking myself for sleeping on this one. Never know what pieces are going to sell out quickly these days!

At first I thought the easiest thing to do is glue the cowl flap down, but no way that works because then you can't rotate the head like DeanKnight and Clipper demonstrated . So I never thought of softening the cowl by heating it up and perhaps futzing with it to fit more flush onto the chest. Same with gluing the top of the armor. Think if the armor isn't sticking out as much since it's a bodysuit the easier it is to get the cowl flap to stay more flat against his chest so it doesn't overlap the signal on his chest. Hence we get that we get the look of the space created between the flap and the top of the insignia

I was initially mad at myself for missing out on the exclusive but after reading about how the bat suit is getting an upgrade in the upcoming Justice League movie it made me feel better.

pardon me ,but what exactly does it mean when a figure on sideshow is waitlisted? im from europe and i get all my figures through an european distributor.
does that mean its sold out? thanks in advance for clearing things up for me:)

Hopefully that doesn't take away from the articulation. I love how this one turned out in that regard. Jumping poses finally!

Wait list means preorders for the figure have been filled up..however that doesn't necessarily mean it's sold out because there are chances that people will cancel their orders, meaning their PO will be available for the next customer that wanted it by getting in the wait list.

I've never wait listed before, but from what I've heard, people have canceled their PO before the figure arrives and their wait list status gets converted into an actual order.

Hope this helps.
