Y'all need to stop humping Batman.

Jesus...

Hot Toys already made SO MANY Batman figures. They only made THREE, and I repeat, THREE Superman figures so far.

What about the close-up picture details of Superman?

Nope.

Superman Returns
Superman Returns/Clark 2-pack
Superman (Reeve)
Evil Superman (Reeve)
Man of Steel
BvS

When it comes to Bruce, I wanted Josh Brolin. I think he would be an awesome Batman... The fact that he's also Thanos would have been icing on the cake.

Speaking of HT, I do believe Batman will be the new IM so to speak. And by that I mean he'll get preferential treatment over all other characters. How about a 1/4 Superman? Nope, Batman will get one first. Even WB is treating him that way, saying they wanted more Batman than Superman in the movie. I have a feeling in Justice League, Batman will shine and Superman will be powered down just like Thor was in the MCU.

I'm glad HT is publicly stating that this will be updated.
Looking forward to seeing those results!

Personally I'd like them to make the suit a fabric very close or identical to supermans for articulation.
The neck looks a little too thick and loose those luv handles.

Yep! I hope HT can get this figure to look exactly like the movie because the costume design is the best part of the new Batman.
Those shoulders and arms are going to be tough to capture. There is a lot of definition, texture and wrinkles happening in one place. Plus, they need to be bigger.

Yes Bale is a good actor but he wasn't getting the best direction. Affleck can easily top Bale.

Huh? Crazy talk! ben Affleck is a hack and a B list actor.

Plus ,I really do not need a Batman cracking jokes or cursing......it totally not in character. He will manage the angry part easy enough since its the easiest emotion to play.....anything else will be a mess. Not expecting Batman to be Batman in this.....well maybe more like the Adam West one......

You've basically described every actor in a marvel film.

I think he'll be fine. He's been pretty good in his recent efforts and what we've seen of him as Batman/ Bruce looks solid and closer to the comics.

That time in the early millenium...the naughties. These movies could have had christian bale in them and they would have sucked due to the terrible direction and scripts they had. A lot of movies from that time haven't aged well. These movies didn't care about that, they were just pumped out by the studio system going with anything that was popular and anchoring the movie with a bankable star. Couldn't blame him. He was young and hollywood was throwing him all kinds of women and cash.

Does anyone honestly think a movie like Paycheck and Daredevil would have been any good if you just switched actors? I'd have to question anyone's mental faculties who'd think so.

Thinking about it a little more, I'd say that studios were a bit more risk taking as they weren't as reliant on sequels and adaptions of young adult novels and comics. Eh. You win some and lose some. In general, I think audiences demand more now.

Love the Dark Knight Trilogy. To me, they're the Star Wars Trilogy of my time. They're like a modern telling of excalibur but with elements from heat.

That said, I'm pumped for BvS and I'm looking forward to a depiction of batman that's closer to the comics.

Batman's not too fat.
it seems using the same body of superman.

I agree with you as well. Also, no disrespect to you or any Batfan here but it's really tiring when some people here keep insisting that they want a Batman on screen closer to the comics. I personally don't think that its all that interesting to see. I don't mind when film directors take some liberties with the Batman characters if it fits with the story they're telling.

Nope.

My bad with misinformation, but what I said still stands.

I meant three Supermen as in three actors for Superman:

-Brandon Routh
-Christopher Reeve
-Henry Cavill

Now, actors for Batman:

-Kevin Conroy (Arkham Asylum game figure, but still counts as an actor)
-Adam West
-Christian Bale
-Michael Keaton
-Ben Affleck

Not only that, but Batman figures get different facial expressions, different clothing, better accessories, and more villains to go with it.

Superman's figures hardly get any special accessories. Good example of GOOD accessories for Superman is Mattel's Movie Masters 1/6th scale Christopher Reeve Superman figure, which has a lot of neat accessories. Superman Returns 2-pack is a good example of good accessories from Hot Toys, but they look dated, and overpriced.

Superman Returns figures... well it is pretty good, but the head is too big for the body, so it looks like a Barbie Ken doll.

Christopher Reeve :that "evil" superman is NOT movie accurate, just a lazy copy from the original with repaint.

Henry Cavill figure is nice, but it's completely out of scale. By comparing this figure to Christopher Reeve is a huge fail, because Christopher was 6'4 ft tall, and Henry is 6'1 ft tall. Hot Toys' Cavill Supes TOWERS over Reeve Supes. It's so dumb.

So, yeah, they focus too much on Star Wars, Batman, and Iron Man. They got this weird obsession with armored figures.

Didnt MOS superman come out right when HT started making their figures generally larger or something like that?

Release date for Christopher Reeve Superman figure was 2011, then MOS figure was released three years later.

MOS only looks in scale with the 13" inch Deluxe Collector Figures, not really in scale with other HT figures.

I want a Batman that's like the Arkham games. In his prime, a highly skilled master detective.

Agreed, I am willing to give Affleck a chance....but I like my Batman dark and brooding, not wise cracking.....we do not need another wise ass superhero. one Tony stark os enough.

I think the suit looks very good, very Miller esque....the neck is Way to thick, bad design....he looks like he's wearing a cervical collar.

These will be awesome in hand. Until then I'm sure we will see plenty of people order, preorder, and precancel in these threads.

I like the designs and everything I've seen so far. Just some minor tweaks that have already been pointed out but I don't see myself picking anything up from this line except Wonder Woman, Cyborg, Aquaman, and the Flash.

You do realize Batman is the more versatile character, right?

Comic, cartoon and movie wise he differs aesthetically from episode, issue, and film.

Seeing as HT is a movie figure company (getting into video games as well) they will make figures based on movies.

As some mentioned previously Superman has about 7 figures with HT right now, all based on his varying appearances in film.

Batman also has figures based on his varying appearances in film. Thing is, he just so happens to change things up more than Supes across the board.

Now don't get me wrong, Supes fans deserve a laser eyes head sculpt. Supes fans deserve and HT produced MOS black suit Supes, or Antartic Clark Kent. There is enough variances in MOS to get quite a few figures.

But Batman? One movie and he has three distinct costumes. Batman Begins he had two, and what'd we get? Two different Batman figures (unless you include MMS155 which was a better rerelease). TDK comes out and we get a Batman because he had a different look.

Now TDKR and TDK Armory were overkill (although I prefer the DX12 over the DX02), and we didn't need a 1/4 Bats, but you get what I'm trying to say.

And Batman is in charge of the JL, so of course you'll see a ton of him. Not only that, BvS is not a MOS sequel, and it's introducing Bats. Duh they wanted more of him because we already got 2 hours of Superman.

would like to see a bit more bulk on the HT batman, doesn't look as good as the original reveal pic of the live action suit with the batmobile, the suit seems baggy/loose in areas.

Haven't you seen that in the trailers? Out of the three trailers there's been two moments of levity that probably total about five seconds. The rest, he's seemed pretty dark and brooding.
