Yeah, they weren't mostly CGI.
CGI? Apart from the grappling away from Doomsday scene, I can't recall any CGI – that's no more than Bale, and it didn't take anything away from Batman in this movie.
Everyone's gonna have their favourite Batman - I really liked Bale, but hated the Begins suit and his voice was ridiculous. Also (not his fault) but I hated the way he gave up being Batman... just didn't make sense and totally out of character for the Batman of the comics.
Keaton - loved the guy as Batman, but it was a Burton fantasy-world Batman, not really the Batman of the comics - he was too small to be believable and he killed far more cold bloodily than Affleck's Batman did... he did it up close and personal!
Cloony and Kilmer were just variants on Adam West, just with a bigger budget!
So, yeah for me Affleck embodies everything I want an on-screen Batman to be... his Bruce Wayne is charming and a playboy, with just the right amount of arrogant ****hole thrown in... and his Batman is brutal, his fighting in the warehouse scene is excellent... probably the best comic book movie fight scene on film - no fancy martial arts stand-off... those guys he buries in the floor, you feel it and you know they're staying down!
Oh and forgot to say... the scene of Batman standing the doorway of Lex's cell... was the most 'Batman' moment I think we'll ever see on the big screen!
