The moment I realized the movie was gonna be a flop, was when Bruce called the old dude that worked for him and had to tell him to leave the building. That was the first of many cringe worthy scenes. There were too many times that I immediately saw flaws in the writing, for the movie to be enjoyable. I really liked the batman warehouse fight scene, but outside of that, there really wasn't much to like. The movie was the definition of the saying "all style and no substence".

Agreed. The list of things I didn't like goes on and on. The warehouse scene and Wonder Woman were the best two things about the movie.

Looking forward to her solo movie, at least Snyder isn't directing that.

I personally loved the film, but I did find that scene kind of funny. If a building is crumbling around me, I'm not going to wait until I get a call from my boss and tell me that it's ok I and everyone can leave; I'm getting the hell out regardless of what he says. :lol

Despite that, I do realize that for story purposes, I believe was intended to show the deep seeded compassion of Bruce Wayne and the respect that he has for his employees.

I'm wondering if Cristian Bale Bats would have handled that situation any different.

That's exactly the interpretation I got. That whole action sequence was supposed to convey Wayne's consideration for human life against his own perception of Superman's "disregard" for it. Still a very effective scene.

My sentiments as well.

Although if DC ad WB knew right away what they were going to do, I personally think it would have been cool to tease Batman by actually having him in MoS and essentially integrating the beginning sequence of BvS into the actual fight scene in MoS as it was happening. Especially when the guy that injured his legs referred to him as "Mr. Wayne". Would have been a nifty introduction and essentially set the stage even further for BvS.

It's not going to happen, but I'd love to see the ultimate cut actually omit a couple of scenes. First, the JL cameos scene. It's horrible, and has no place in the movie. It's nothing but a shameless commercial for JL shoehorned into the movie, and serves no purpose at all. Second, Flash popping out of Bruce's computer. Again, more JL crap that serves no purpose to the movie. And third, leave out the identity of the photographer who gets shot in the face at the beginning of the movie. I'm willing to pretend Snyder was joking and just has a sick sense of humor when he said it was supposed to be Jimmy.

Personally I really liked the scene - you have to consider that in 9-11 people were still working in the south tower after the first plane strike – so not such a stretch to believe people would still be in the building at that point – it was before Superman and Zod hit the building after all, and the action was in the distance - was the Empire State building completely evacuated for example?

I agree with the first point – Bruce only needed to see the WW photo, I don't think the clips of Flash, Aquaman and Cyborg were necessary.
The second point though – appearance of the Flash, I loved it... don't know why but that few seconds made me feel sure they would get the Flash 'right' in future movies.

There's definitely parts that should have been cut or, at the very least, shortened. Hopefully the extra scenes aren't just additional bloat.

Dario, without getting into a long debate about the film (I admire your tenacity by the way in immediately defending something you like) I think you kind of missed my point. I really liked the film, no, loved it. And as I already mentioned, I actually really liked the scene as well. As I described, it depicted Bruce Wayne's compassion for people in contrast to his perception of Superman not having any regard for human life, and the respect that he (BW) has for his employees. And you're right, it's not a stretch at all to believe people would still be in the building. However, I just simply found it sort of funny that Jack made haste after Bruce Wayne called him and told him to evacuate. I'm just humorously stating that if that amount of destruction was happening around me, I wouldn't wait for a call to be told to evacuate; I'd already have been in the process of getting out and helping others get out long before that. You wouldn't have to tell me twice. :lol

That's all. I'm not attacking the scene nor the film at all because I like and understand what the scene is meant to convey and like I said, I personally loved the film.

I enjoyed every second of the film. because I love actors and characters and everybody who worked on the film. I don't care about others opinion. can't wait to watch full version and love it even more.

This conversation shall never die! The battle of perception will prevail! But always remember...your opinion is always 100% right. Lol.

P.S. BvS was the bees knees.

So has anyone else who didn't initially receive this alleged email stating that June 9th (this Thursday) is the day, end up receiving it?

Firstly, I know how much you loved the film... and I will always defend it as I loved it myself.
That doesn't mean I think the movie is perfect – no film is, but that particular scene isn't one of them for me... I loved the whole opening scene, and I was merely pointing out how stupid people can sometimes be – there are countless cases where people carry on with normal life, when disaster is happening all around them. That scene didn't seem stupid to me or questionable to me.

I think that part was a little clumsy but the scene as a whole was great, and as far as this film's problem go, this one is negligible.

And that's my point precisely. It's not saying the scene was inaccurate, bad, funny, poorly done, stupid, questionable, etc., it's more just merely asking Jack himself in a humorous way why he had to wait for a call to be told to evacuate in the first place. If it were me, or I'm sure anyone else here, they probably would have already been in the process of getting out without having to be told by someone that they should probably start moving.

I'm checking my mail like mad. I got tons of advertising from Sideshow. but none of them confirms something about Supes.

Same here...

The thirst is real.

Same here. I'm starting to become a little dubious about this June 9th date. In my experiences, it's very unlike SSC to not at least give individuals a week notice that a figure is going to be arriving in their warehouse and ask you to have the funds available at that time because they will be charging. I don't imagine them sending one out a few days right before or the night before it charges.

I can see people receiving emails within the span of a few days, but not a week to a week and a half apart.

Another thing I find a little odd, is it seems like usually when a figure is set to come out soon, sideshow will change the date on their website. Superman is still showing June-July instead of just June.
