I'm thinking about cancelling my waitlist order for the set w/ the EX tech cowl and just getting the two individually with coupons. I don't think I care much for that cowl, plus discounts and Superman coming out soon. 
A light-up eyes head would be awesome, I'd buy that custom, if the paint job on the face is as good or close to HT level to match.

Yeah, I like the darker color also, as it matches the hue of the overall suit better. However, I know the specs state that the cape is supposed be a different material, so I'm anxious to see how that compares to the stock MoS cape.
I know many favored the darker cape for even the MoS figure because that's how it appeared in the film, but I actually like the color of the stock cape as it goes with the color of the suit. To me, it matches the suit exactly the way it looks in this picture, and regardless if it looked a bit darker in the film, I actually really like the color tones of it in this picture:

Nice!!! That looks amazing! I would totally get that if it wasn't too pricey. Do they have a version that runs on batteries, like the custom toyzstudio light-up TDK Batman sonar cowls so the wiring doesn't show?
I made it, lol. There is no "they".
It could be kind of pricey depending on what you see as pricey. It takes an hour and a half to dremel out the inside of the headsculpt so the pvc is wafer thin and lets light out from the inside. Then LEDs are added inside but with an external power supply with a switch. If you put it all in the head, it makes it harder to change the batteries. One guy insisted on that, and destroyed the lighting system trying to ham-fistedly change the batteries.
The head loses the ball joint, but stays on with gravity. Most people usually pick up a spare sculpt and send that to me for the alteration so they can go back to the normal head when not having it lit up.

That's exactly what I did yesterday. The only exclusive item I really wanted was the kryptonite; don't really care about the tech cowl at all. Cancelled the wait list for the combo and used the SPR1NG16 code on Superman. I'll use next month's code on Batman. If by some strange chance, the exclusive sells out before then, it won't be a big deal, because that sniper rifle will most likely never leave the box.

That's why I didn't preorder. I want the Kryptonite but I don't care for the cowl, so I'll get the exclusive Supes and the cheapest Bats after...

Exclusive bats comes with the sniper rifle. The set has the cowl.
Are they shipping separately of you ordered the set since Supes was released first? Or do I wait until batman arrives and they ship together?

So the tech cowl for those who ordered the set will presumably ship with Batman? He's gonna have 3 different versions, haha, tech cowl, sniper, regular.

I think tech cowl + sniper also. If I'm not mistaken, the tech cowl package also offered an exclusive option, where you get the sniper rifle with Bats and the Kryptonite with Supes.
dw316 and you are both correct, there is the regular version, the exclusive version which comes with the rifle and finally the combo package offers the tech cowl on top of the rifle.

That would make four different packaging variations for Batman.
- single figure (regular)
- single figure (exclusive with sniper rifle)
- combo package (regular/tech cowl only)
- combo package (exclusive with sniper rifle and tech cowl)

I don't think there's a regular with cowl only, the cowl is an added exclusive on top of the sniper, so just 3.

Was there? I thought the dual pack had the regular and exclusive option. The exclusive including the rifle and the Kryotonite in addition to the cowl, while the regular just has the cowl.
No if you bought the combo you get the cowl, kryptonite, and sniper rifle.
