1/6 Hot Toys BvS: Dawn of Justice-Wonder Woman

HT have shown us an unfinished product, folks! Clearly, they're using a placeholder body in the promo pics, hence no articulation shown. The one in the pics probably is a literal statue. I'm hoping that the body isn't totally seamless once it's done. The way the boots are, I wouldn't mind a visible joint there and the hair looks like it would cover a shoulder joint.

Hell no! Go buy a Neca. Exposed joints would make this figure look like cheap garbage.

I'm sorry but I disagree. All of the previous Hot Toys figures with exposed joints beg to differ, imo.
For example hot toys hulk is twice as realistic as any seamless statue I have ever seen. Even the life size ones.

Figures with exposed joints generally tend to possess more poseability while figures with concealed joints (rubber arms for instance) tend to be more aesthetically pleasing, but sacrifice poseability lest stretching the rubber at a joint.

Barbie has really good head sculpt . I have seen repaint of her and it was awesome, looked as GAL lot. I think HT version should lost 10 KGs she looks somehow fat for me. especially face

yes, most people don't like that Gal is skinnier but this is reality if we want likeness to her, figure should lost some weight

I think I will pass on her for now and wait for her movie next year. They are saying not all of her abilities are shown in BvS. I am hoping the WW movie version will have more accessories and better posability.

P.S. I don't have enough funds to get her and the CW figures this year...Not to mention have to keep an eye out for Harley...

I'm thinking I'll wait and see how the solo film figure turns out... I undoubtedly believe they will use the same headsculpt but I bet she will come with her robe thing and more accessories.

We don't know that you can't. And you said she didn't have fists but she does.

The lost points of articulation could be the pretty minimal. Like double jointed elbows and shoulders and knees. That's 6 pts lost. Mid torso because of the costume. That's one or two. Fingers. That's ten. Stuff like that is entirely possible. At 17 it's not iron man but it's still a lot more then most people will ever use.

Ah just saw the specs and it mentioned fists. Weird they did not show the fists in the proto pics. Well I know she will have articulation but with seamless you cannot leave her arms in that bent pose for fear of tearing the rubber or stretching it in the long run (at least for me). However I do like this figure and will be getting her for sure. I also prefer seamless over jointed elbows for this figure even if articulation is hindered. Just looks better.

Wasn't aware you had a relationship with HT...thanks for the update. Tell Chan, Hawkeye is overpriced, the stealth armored bats is a nice re-issue, the reproduction of SW figures is a classic move BUT the community is onto his games.
