100% Agreed. I think the problem most people have is that they expect the characters to be a certain way. Superman is supposed to be this, Batman is supposed to be that. Well... this is a different take.

The problem is that what people are expecting these characters to be is based on a narrow knowledge of the characters – Superman for example, it seemed most people who have a problem with Cavill is because he isn't Christopher Reeve!!! Whilst his Superman was incredible, it is a take on a character that has existed for almost 80yrs, and the Reeve portrayal reflects a small portion of that history – much the same as Adam West's take on Batman reflects a certain time, but should every Batman mirror his portrayal?
The Superman and Batman of the DCEU more accurately portray their comic book roots, however the vase majority of audiences do not know that and so just believe what they read in reviews and blogs.

More accessories

I love the sword accessory, but otherwise I won't be picking up this version of WW... I'm hoping they add a few more extras to the standard WW.

It's good to finally see posed pictures. I don't plan on posing it much but it is nice to see that it does have some range of movement.

I had no idea the amazonian outfit was made of leather or had so much detail. I always assumed it was cloth from the trailer. Leave it up to Hot Toys to reveal details I never noticed!

Also nice to see a statement from Hot Toys on the delay. Looking forward to finally having the DC Trinity in my display.

I agree that each of these characters have rich, complex histories. But do not agree that the current DC Universe better reflects Superman's overall history than Reeve does. Reeve was a good mish-mash of golden and silver age Supes. Timm-verse Superman is more of a bronze/modern age mix. Singer's version was in-between those, but sabotaged by the wacky child subplot, out of place, Hackman-esque Luthor, and failure to give him a good, physically challenging adversary. Snyder had little bits from the modern age, but the tone was totally inappropriate to the bulk of Superman's past history. Because if there was an interconnecting thread, from the stories of the '50s to the '70s to post-Crisis, it was genuine hope and optimism. Not this dank, pessimistic, "natural disaster"-type undertone that permeates Man of Steel and Batman V Superman.

Batman is easier to justify in the Snyder approach. Even if I'll quibble with some things here or there like his homicidal streak, by and large he feels appropriate as Batman, and is handled pretty well.

It's true that they are looking for a director for the Man of Steel sequel, however that was always the case –*however Snyder was/is still assigned to direct Justice League 2... but your post just goes to show how powerful the 'negative bias' on social media really is!

You make it sound like I'm some Snyder hater when I was merely saying that JL would appear to be his final DCEU movie at least in the short term. Not my wish, just with all the annoucements that's the route WB seem to be going. I don't use social media btw.

Regarding this figure I'm glad HT has finally said something on the delay but could they not have done this a couple of months ago? By reworking the sculpt we are getting a far better product so I'm fine with the delay...just wish they could have communicated that earlier.

Sorry not meaning you in general, but there is a massive Snyder-hate campaign on social media, who constantly post complete untruths, however people believe it sadly... you should see some of the disgusting stuff posted after Zack's recent terrible news.

Oh tell me about it, it's pretty horrific what some trolls are willing to post. I saw a lot of anti-semitic stuff directed at Gadot in the run up to BvS and haven't looked as far the comments section on YT trailers since.

Zack was instrumental in giving us this WW and my favourite live action Batman so I'm certainly no hater.

I'm always interested in costume design changes between movies. I can't tell but are there any noticeable differences between her BvS and WW costumes?

There might be some subtle differences in color or with a few details here and there (like with the different sword strap design), but for all intents and purposes it still looks like the same basic costume, and personally I would have no problem buying this as a figure from the standalone WW movie.

Where is the comparison pic of the two sculpts(WW and Amazon)?

Haha. Looks like this thread is still alive.. For 1/2 day I thought everyone has shifted their attention to the amazon outfit than this thread..

The sculpt on the BvS one is good but man the one for the Warrior one is better. I only expect the standard WW one to be even better still

I feel like if they put the frowning eyebrow, it will improve the likeness...
