1/6 Hot Toys BvS: Dawn of Justice-Wonder Woman

I think tlwtw's saying that this version's sculpt isn't that close to gal gadot, which is true. And whilst hot toys is a lot cheaper than a prime 1 statue, they will improve with each new release. Just look at the proto for the justice league wonder woman. So therefore the statement that the sculpt could be done much better is true. No point in buying something that you're not happy with when you know there'll be better options later down the line

Incorrect interpretation of my post. I don't know if the BvS sculpt is the best ever representation of Gadot because I am STILL WAITING for the figure's shipment. But I do know Hot Toy's work. And it is truly the best of 1/6 scale. Will there be something better later, maybe/probably? But I'm ready for my figure (ten months ago) NOW!!!!

To think I was originally meant to have this Xmas 16... I'm still waiting on WW and Old Luke from films that have come and gone when I have these in hand JL and TLJ will be more or less around the corner.

Either the new body takes really long to produce or there is some major fault. Doctor strange was released 2 weeks after wonder woman yet SSC is shipping it next week.

I remember when the bvs batman figures were released in HK the forums were blowing up with pictures. Yet with WW, we only have about 2 people with the figure who are posting pictures.

It looks good in some of those pictures. I think its just because the JL WW has that warrior look where as this is more neutral and can look abit weird in some poses. The hair makes or breaks it too. Wonder what kind of lighting you need to take into account too lol

But I also wonder if there were some major problems with the body used in that first string of releases that HTs is now trying to improve upon. We've already seen it go from a shiny skin to a "matte finished" looking skin. Did any of you who are members of other 1/6 scale forums read anything super negative about the body from folks who already have figure?

If HTs delivered BvS Wonder Woman with that (JL) head sculpt it would prove they care about their customers (i.e., the people who've made them Uber wealthy). BUT, what would they do for thier money making machine WW JL figure? From a collector's perspective it's logical and rational but from a corporations point of view, that idea would be extremely costly.

When you look at the Black Widow head sculpts HTs has made from release to release, they just keep getting better and better/more realistic looking. So obviously they have to improve upon each figures HS to 1) satisfy us and 2) generate more sells/money. It's respectable but also repulsive.

I think for me the outfit on this figure is as much of a draw as the headsculpt. So while that sculpt may not be as strong as it could be, once I see it as part of the overall figure (such as in IAmToys great review) the effect is still pretty damn impressive. And it definitely feels like Gadot's Wonder Woman to me.

Once I see the final other versions, I may decide to ditch it, but right now I'm still really looking forward to this figure.
