Got the Barbie cloak, definitely not accurate to the movie, but I like how it looks for now. I guess this is my take on it. Oh, and before people ask about the hair, I just used water to shape it down, no hair products, lol.

I like the Barbie cloak, I just think it needs the sleeves. I like your hair style, but it's a little too flat for me , I actually like the big fullness and curly locks look to Gal's WW look, it isWW after all and not a runway model . But I do marvel at your creativity :wave

Already removed the armor piece and was bending it for a pose. My concern is trying to shift her skin around the skeleton. Wow, that wasn't creepy at all. :lol

I'm pretty sure mine was assembled wrong. That particular leg anyway.

If I might add which way did you bend it on the stiff leg :dunno

The way you're supposed to really. But that's the thing. The knee joint is already far more stiff than the elbow joints. I think the molded shape of the material is working against the joint. It's one of the toughest pieces of articulation to bend in my entire collection.

I know, I usually prefer a more stylized look, can't help it.

Hmmm mine was incredibly stiff as you described that I thought ugh this is misaligned from the steel frame from the skin but I used the method I inclined and it fixed it right up..ok I won't push it for you anymore but I do believe it just needs a nudge.

Hmm. I may try to mess with it more when my belt arrives.

I've also grabbed a new stand for her. One that's less intrusive, but will also allow a more natural looking walking pose. The giant stand she comes with just won't fit my setup and the generic stands of old can completely hinder some poses.

Haven't seen it or Spidey yet. Pretty excited. I've heard mostly good things about both. And the humor fits from what I can make out from trailers.

BTW I mentioned the skirt issue to them, they are not budging on that, they said they are all coming like with each one they inspect as they get them so no help from them with that

And I quote,

Regarding the skirt, the gap on the back side of the leather tunic will be normal for this item, as it appeared on each piece we opened. As such, the replacement Wonder Woman we could provide you would be nearly identical to this.

We have attached a picture of the skirt on our office display Wonder Woman figure in this correspondence for your reference

The
So I guess we are out of luck :pfft:

Thank God for these forums. You have saved me time, at least! Got mine today, and the first thing I noticed was the skirt.

'Hm, do I contact Sideshow or not?'

*checks forums*

'Ah, I see there's no point. Might as well put the fig together, then.'

It's a disappointing issue but it doesn't seem like a deal breaker, as I probably won't see that side when she's all set up. I'll see how I feel in ten mins, though, as she is lying there next to the box and still covered in plastic as we speak (inadvertent Laura Palmer reference there).

Between Wonder Woman's butt and BvS Batman's butt, I'm beginning to wonder about Hot Toys' butt technicians ...

Just a few iPhone snaps of my WW from about 15 minutes ago. Was futzing with the hair again a bit.

My goal is attempting to get the overall pose as close as possible (as what the figure permits) to this particular screen grab:

And the hairstyle based on this particular screen grab from a moment later:

The Bat butt is a doctor job. I still can't believe they didn't give him a rubber hip and butt segment like female figures sometimes receive in the hobby.

As for Wonder Woman, there's actually a fix posted a few pages back.

Anyone with excessive Wonder Butt exposure likely has a figure with the hip joints not properly fitted. Whether that be the joint itself not locked in place or the leg dislocating, read separating, from the ball-jointed connecter. You might not even need to realign and glue the skirt pieces after fully conjoining the hips. I didn't.

Ah, thanks very much for drawing my attention to that! I'd need to glue the skirt on mine I think, but it's good to know there is a fix even I will be capable of if I sit down and take the time. I should contribute to the thread! Here is a quick pic of her fresh out of the box and looking Gal-ish:

Nice pics man. Looks close to reference scene.

Great pics, guyver. Are you putting any sort of product in the hair at all?

Thanks, man! :duff

I'm still constantly tweaking it here and there (I've tweaked it since those pics) and can't seem to get the hair the way I want.

Bit the bullet and ordered her from a local store that had a couple in stock. No regrets. She's amazing and looks great on the shelf with my favourite iterations of the Big 3.

She looks really good. Nice pictures.

I think I got mine in the pose I want. Hair to me is still a bit of a WIP. When I finish futzing it, it does pretty much look like it does in the scene I'm using as a reference, but there's still something I'm not satisfied about with it. Almost as if the locks are too "stringy" and thin looking, and not quite thick enough. Meh. I don't know.
