I believe one year it took 3 months before every figure in an “upcoming releases” image came out, because when Chinese New Year hits nothing happens for weeks.Historically, the "Upcoming Releases" has always meant within the next month or so.
I wasn't expecting 3P0 until next fall, so this is quite a pleasant surprise.
Of course this version is coming just as I’m about done paying off the AOTC version. I’ll probably get him eventually and will retire my Sideshow 3PO or stick him in the background of another display.
You won’t be disappointed with the aotc version. I was on the fence about canceling and it’s instantly one of my favorite figures. It actually is heavy and feels worth the price, unlike dry cleaned bespin luke that feels like a feather for about the same price.Of course this version is coming just as I’m about done paying off the AOTC version. Belly wires are different. This HT one is accurate to ROTJ.What are the differences between the OT films on C-3PO’s costume? Is it just the silver leg/foot? Is this version accurate to Jedi? Can’t figure it out.
Belly wires. Is that the only differentiation?Belly wires are different. This HT one is accurate to ROTJ.
He has silver right foot plating in ROTJ:I still can’t tell. Isn’t the silver right leg gold foot in Empire supposed to also be there in Jedi? The only movie that he had a silver right leg and silver foot was in ANH. So why does it look like this release has the ANH leg and foot rather than the ESB or ROTJ version?
He also had the gold right foot plating in ESB.He has silver left foot plating in ROTJ:

The gold plating is in ROTS, Ahsoka and in the legends or 'what-if' TFA, TLJ, and in ROS
That’s correct afaik. HT have it wrong. It looks to me like this but it’s hard to tell.
ANH Silver right shin and silver foot
ESB Silver right shin and Gold foot
ROTJ Silver right shin Gold foot.
HT release Silver right shin silver foot.
Nice. That’s what I thought too and why I was confused why HT would use the silver right foot instead of the gold.
