My wife told me today that I'm much happier with my HT collection than I was with my Polystone one, she said that I'm always staring at them, re-posing their heads and always talking about them or future releases.

Ummm, she's right. :lol

Collecting HT is fun. :rock

I might even get some OT Star Wars if HT does them right.

Statues are nice and all but just boring for me. :dunno

A heavy duty statue collector said they don't waste time with HT because they're just toys.

That's what makes them fun for me, albeit delicate toys, definately not for my 2 yr old :lol

Yeah, collecting figures are fun for sure. :rock Though, I do love statues as well.

All I have to say is with all these amazing Marvel HTs coming out, we are going to have some damn nice looking shelves! :D:D:D

always good to see new collectors:hi5: hopefully, you didn't miss out on something you really wanted from earlier releases because that's what really slaps you in the face with how expensive this hobby can be.

To me, having a statue is about the same as having a painting...

I remember when I used to collect 6" McFarlanes and I used to hate the larger 1/6th "dolls, then when I started collected those, I said the same thing about PF/CM's and now, that's my favorite scale, so give it a year or two for your collecting wants to "evolve":lol

I totally agree. Just two fellas opinions, but the appeal of a static polystone piece is lost on me. And given the overpriced cost on most collectible statues, I'd have buyer's remorse faster than you can say "truetype!"

I'm always impressed by the design & engineering that goes into the articulation of a posable figure, whether it's an old Toybiz Marvel Legends, a 3A Ashley Wood, or a Hot Toys movie masterpiece...:gun

And the paint apps & cloth tailoring are light years away from what can be captured with polystone...

Depends. I'd take a Brâncuşi or Picasso over an HT fig any day! :duh

I went the opposite direction, 1/4 scale PF to 1/6 HT :nana:

:lol

I've never had a statue photo make my excited. :horror

But when I look at vodoun's and many others 1/6 photos, I get palpatations!

I mean, have you seen vodoun's latest Dark Knight photos :drool, if not you should :lol

I know this picture was posted before but here is a larger version without the Entertainment Weekly logo. It makes it easier to make out the details in the suit and makes a good desktop picture.

Hmmm, more like a good dartboard picture. I am a huge Cap fan going all the way back to the 60's, but between this costume and the hiring of Evans to play him I don't have much hope. Its actually possibly worse than making Nick Fury out of Samuel L. Jackson. With the exception of Downey playing Stark, Marvel is killing the favorites of my youth.

It is based off the Ultimate Universe so Samuel L Jackson was a natural since Nick Fury was modeled after him in the Ultimate Universe.

Is that supposed to be Cap in the forties???! Sorry, I haven't kept up with news on this movie.

I am aware of that. However, there is nothing ultimate about these versions. And, to me and every Nick Fury fan who was with him all the way back in his Howling Commando days, Jackson is anything but natural for the role.

More worried about Joe Johnston than anything. I like Evans.
