just a 3D scan of the 3-3/4" figure

I really think the WWII helmet just adds so much more to his costume that I'll be posing mine with it on, regardless of how often he wears it in the actual movie:D

What 3 3/4 figure is this? I would love to have one.....

jackson is just fine for nick fury.... movies are always different from comics.....

I'm digging caps look in this, and I like the concept art for red skull. Those two figures are must buy for me. I'm anxious to see what arnim zola, bucky, dum dum dugan, and union Jack all look like since they're all listed in imdb's credits.

im still wondering why they (Marvel) changed Nick Fury to a "brotha" though.....

It's actualy an old inside joke.

One of the times Nick Fury "Died" in the comics, before he dies, he tells dum dum dugan that

"if they ever make a movie about my life, make damn sure they get Samuel L Jackson to play me"

it's why they draw him like that in ultimates as well.

Really? That's pretty awesome actually!

interesting the way I heard it is that when they decided to make the Ultimate version of Nick Fury look like Sam Jackson they had to get his permission which he gladly gave with no charge if he was allowed to play the character if he was ever featured in a film. Makes sense anyway since the Marvel films are closer to the Ultimate versions anyway. I think Sam Jackson makes a great Fury and I hope he gets a bigger part in the Avengers film.

That's not correct. This is how the Ultimates Nick Fury was drawn in Ultimate Marvel Team Up and early issues of Ultimate X-Men:

SLJ specifically gave consent for Marvel to use his likeness in their redesign of the Fury for The Ultimates. The similarity is even noted within the Ultimates #1, in a scene in which the Ultimates discuss who they think should play each of them in a hypothetical movie about the team. Fury's answer for himself is "Mr. Samuel L. Jackson, of course, no discussion."

That is the joke, it isn't old and was thrown in specifically to acknowledge SLJ for allowing Marvel to use his likeness. There was no film clause or anything to the like but he was quoted in saying that he'd love to actually play Nick Fury, the character that was being written he was following and Marvel approached him directly since at the time the Ultimates universe was one of their best sellers.

I was debating Fury with a friend of mine, and I think casting him as he was originally portrayed would be next to impossible in Hollywood these days. There's just no older, square jawed Clint Eastwood types left anymore.
