Can't wait to get those!! Did you notice he has the circle reactor on the armor? So does he just have a triangle inside but a circle on the outside of the armor?

I did notice that. Tony's Arc is circular with a triangular core. The outsid plating of the Mark VI is triangular so it looks like this Mark (VII?) just goes back to the original circular plating. What is interesting is that the shoulder plating looks layered over it so this might be a specific Mark for something...it's completely possible there could be one or even two more Marks within the film.

Thats what I was thinking is this is the Mark VII and it just goes back to the circular plating instead of the triangle plating of the Mark VI. Yeah, the shoulder and collarbone area look different. So I'm with you we might see the Mark VI to start and the Mark VII sometime into it.

The steel accents in Iron Man 2 were originally written in as Tony taking the suit before it was completely finished with upgrades. Maybe this Mark VII is after a battle with something/someone where the chest plates and shoulders get damaged...

Then Hulk Buster :panic:

The Arc Reactor is circle (was in IM2 as well, only triangle core).... The Chest RT can be of any shape Tony/the movie designer(s) desire.

I don't know. It's just promo art but what if the Mark VI gets damaged in the battle with the Hulk and then going to this VII (Hulk is in the photo) is what we get before the eventual Mark in IM3.

Possible either way I do like the look a bit.

I do think we could see that. Would look cool on screen.

The plating on the outside of the armor was a triangle on the Mark VI. I was talking about the plating of the armor thats all.

Right and makes sense as well as all the reason to have a new Mark in this movie.

Why do we need multiple armors in one movie? Already the upgrade in IM2 from the IV to VI was dubious at best. What possible reason can they keep coming up with for Tony to get brand new armor all the time?

Now,

is Hulk helping them with an attack on someone or are they all running, jumping, hopping and flying away from him. :lol

No Hank Pym and Wasp :monkey2

Unless they're hidden in Hulk's ear, quick someone zoom in :lol

Looks as if he is helping them. That or he just farted and they're getting the heck out of dodge.

The hulk would destroy Tony in the Mark VI or suit from this poster, the Hulk Buster suit added something like 200 tons of musculature to Tony's suit in order to go toe to toe with a raging Hulk. If the mark VI did sustain damage it was from another foe I'd imagine.

Aside from the fact that suits get destroyed in battle, it's in Tony's nature to redesign and upgrade regularly. It's part of his character,

Looks to me like Hulk is trying to stop Hawkeye from putting an arrow through Cap's head while Black Widow is trying to get Thor's attention with her camel toe.

Iron Man is like "Stop. Following. Me."

The problem is when we don't really see any difference between the armors. Why did Tony not just use his Mark IV at the end of IM2? How was the VI an improvement? Hell, how was it any different?

We are just told that its an upgrade, without really being shown any difference besides a small cosmetic one.

A change from one Mk suit to another should be a signifigant and noticeable upgrade. Not just change a couple details of the appearance and tell us it is more powerful or something. Theres only so many times you can do this without it looking like you are just cramming as many toy opportunities in as possible.

I thought it was pretty clear that he whipped the Mark VI up quickly to accommodate the new power source. Of course it wouldn't look much different. Makes sense, story wise, to me. :dunno

I really hope this figure, when it comes out will look nice, specially the placing of the eyes.
one figure that comes to mind, that i believe looks great, but the eyes look funky, is... thor.
i also hope the movie is better than thor!
