One is a repaint, one requires an entirely bespoke body. Not that surprising

His new suit actually is different right? I've never seen a comparison. Disappointing if they just recolor the last DD if the new suit is actually different.

It is different in a few subtle (and a couple not-so-subtle) ways beyond the obvious colors. It's based on the original, but as a new creation it's not 1:1. An strip on the shoulders&upper arms is a bit thicker, the neck cover is assembled differently (one piece becomes multiple pieces), tubing on the sides of the chest terminate a bit earlier, shapes/angles on the chest are smoother, a couple straps are slightly different. The biggest changes I noticed are the bits of fabric that circle the elbow area (which seem thinner on the new one than on the original) and the upper thighs just below the belt (there are entirely new textures/shapes there). The "pants" might have more differences but it's harder to find reference below the belt.

The majority of the figure could get away with a straight repaint, but a couple specific areas would make it obviously inaccurate, mainly those new shapes on the legs/sides.

I'd blame that underground "designer" they get their costumes from.

Hot Toys needs to rethink the body they are using. The old figure and this new teaser looks like are using the same body. Arms are too skinny and chest not nearly big enough. Hope they adjust this but who am I kidding? They won’t change anything.

They didn’t even use a new body for DD. It’ll be awhile before we see them make a new She-Hulk sized body.
