As much as I’m already loving his all chrome updated look, I feel like I need his costume from the promo image only because I’ve loved it so much since it was first shown.

Dare I say it was an instant classic? Plus, I’m just a sucker for characters original suits.

Yeah the burgundy armor is a much more unique look, and plus it makes the chrome helmet stand out a bit more on him I think.

I just hope it doesn't get completely destroyed or damaged in the first episode. Lol

I know my wallet hates me for saying this but honestly kinda hope HT does the promo image costume and his updated look. But I’ll take whatever they make haha.
Jaycepticon I’ll agree with it being an instant classic, at least for me. It’s cool too since it’s essentially updated Mando armor, or the most up to date within the SW timeline.

Yep, this would be a pretty tough figure to turn down especially after getting invested in the series. Hell it'd be difficult right now !

Definitely instant classic to me.

Probably. They can get a better shine on a die cast part. Like on R2's dome when that gets released. (OK it's not 100% die cast, but a decent percentage).

I just hope HT takes a huge dive into the Mandalorian. I keep watching the bootleg trailer too, his meeting with the underground boss just felt so Star Wars to me. He’s already way better in my opinion than Boba and Jango, especially since he actually is a Mando. His armor looks awesome and I think he starts out with the beat up look and upgrades to the silver. I do love the beat up look of his first armor but there’s something pleasing to the eye of his silver and black look. I think if the silver and black was battle scarred that’d be my favorite haha.

Never understood why Lucas said jango isn’t a mando. It changes nothing of his character and seemed like a stupid idea.

Not quite the same topic but close. Filoni and Faverau did mention that the Mandalorians were not mentioned etc in the movies. They mentioned they were colouring in the missing pieces. So perhaps we'll get some link between what Filoni has done in Rebels and this show. Would be nice to link stuff together for the fans and perhaps make up some reasons why they were not present in the prequels or the OT.

Potentially makes the canon a bit cleaner I guess.

John Favreau was invited by Dave Filoni to provide the voice for the Mandalorian -Pre Vizlsa,leader of Mandalorian terrorist group -Death Watch in Clone Wars animated series when they met at Skywalker Ranch

You could pretty much see this "Mandalorian" was heavily inspried by Clone Wars, not Rebels, when John was working with Filoni long time ago. He also did mention "dark saber" during SW Celebration pannel,an ancient weapon wielded by Mandalorian to slay Jedi.

Yeah, I've watched them all with my son (sorry perhaps I mixed up Rebels and Clone Wars). Maybe need a rewatch before the final season arrives actually.

But imagine if we get a live action Dark Saber in the Mandalorian ! Against a grey Jedi or something. Hell, put him against a Sebastian Stan Luke for the season 2 finale.

I'm hoping some Rebels or Clone Wars characters show up in this show, mainly Ahsoka. Would be cool to see Sabine too. Then we might actually get HT figures of them.
