These Trooper repaints are pretty much no-brainer money grabs, which certainly makes sense from a business perspective. Hopefully HT is investing some of the profits into developing new SW figures like Greef, Cara and Fennec which are likely one-and dones.

If they are going to eventually do Baze then we need a Chirrut reissue. I didnt pick him up due to no Baze and now he is double the price on eBay.

I think a lot of folks held off. If Baze is produced there?ll no doubt be a mad scramble to pick Chirrut up in the secondary.

I'm in the same boat. I had Chirrut but I didn't keep him because it looked off to me without Baze.

If they do Baze, I think he would probably be released as a standalone and as a two-pack with Chirrut to serve both groups. Or at least that would be the smart thing to do.

Then apparently that's your loss then, no way they'd ever reissue Chirrut.

I think Baze was not produced because Chirrut didn't sell well.

Very possible but surprising that so many companies don't understand pairs of figures that would sell much better together. The Dean and Sam Winchester fiasco by Qmx is a prime example. I ended up selling my Chirrut...and eventually all my Rogue One figures. Might've kept the whole gang had Baze been released...

I guess it's a more conservative way to do things. If the 1st of a pair didn't do well, you expect the 2nd of a pair to not do well or worst. It's kind of forcing collectors to speak with their money. A lot of toy companies do that. If the current release/po don't do well, they will probably cut the line.

...and doesn't account for all the people who say "I'll wait on Chirrut to make sure they produce Baze"... It's a self fulfilling prediction of failure in cases where the tie-in of two characters is particularly strong.

I just hope they can squeeze in a run of Tank Commander into their production since they are making Transport Trooper and Shore Trooper...

It's not often that HT misses an opportunity to make a quick buck on trooper remakes nowadays. I'd say it will happen if Shoretrooper and Transport Trooper sell well.

They seem to have worked out the idea of producing similar figures at the same time Red/White Jet Troopers and Shore Troopers. Tank Commander should be similar enough.

I ordered Jyn, K2, and Baze from the line, and had all three delivered by the time we realised(Slightly erroneously, as it turned out), that they weren't going to make any more figures from the line.
If they had announced Cassian, Baze and Bodhi, i would have ordered them all and would probably still have them in my collection, despite selling off a lot this past year.
But when i realised i wasn't going to be able to display the whole team, i sold them off. The only one i regret is Jyn. If they ever re-do Jyn Erso, i'll jump on that right away.

Yes, I also regret selling Jyn. At the time my logic was to just get rid of the bunch as the prices were pretty high. I now wish I'd kept Jyn as a one-off representation of a great film... Alas...

I was able to snag some parted headsculpts when the figure was out, so i can at least try to put together a custom, but other than a new Jyn version(Fingers crossed that the Cassian show is set during RO as the present, and flashes back to the main show, so we can get a new Jyn from the show, lol), we are all out of luck.

Agreed. I did hang onto the exclusive SS Premium Format statue of Jyn, which is a pretty nice piece...

Jyn is one of those figures along with K2SO that I don?t think I?d ever be able to sell. The Jyn deluxe is such a solid figure, I quite like the sculpt

K2S0 will definitely see a re-release with the Cassian show but I'm hoping we'll get at least a bare-boned Jyn as well.

With luck, as they know the fanbase loves Rogue One, she will be in the show in a small capacity, so we can keep our fingers crossed.
It's actually funny, but Jyn has now attained a price on the secondary market that(When other figures go that high, used), means they get repopped.
