It's easy to say that MCU interest is on the way out when the MCU has gone more than a year since it's last release because of a pandemic. When things get back to normal, it might take a while, but MCU interest will pick up and continue to chug along.

Hasn't Din already had a lot more screen time than Boba? Not sure what makes one more iconic, maybe just the passage of time, but personally think Din is the much better character.

Without Boba Fett there is no Din.
His cool factor, mystique really spawned this more fleshed out (much much more), developed protagonist of Mandalorian as well as Jango Fett, the clone storyline, Mandalorians in Clone Wars/Rebels.

Boba Fett in terms of his impact in the OT is minimal, but his effect as an icon of SW, his cool factor was foundations of The Mandalorian show.

What about those six Sith Jet Troopers you bought, surely they add a bit of colour on the shelf.

True, they do "pop" a bit more than the 4 white ones I also bought

But I must say once I have that Mortar Trooper and the orange coloured one in S3 I'll be working towards a real rainbow effect. What was it ROY-G-BIV right !!

If the series are really good - and early chatter is positive (https://www.cbr.com/wandavision-early-reaction-lauds-the-marvel-series-as-funny-bold/) not worried about the MCU at all.

Before Mandalorian's probably unexpected world domination (and not sayin' it would've sucked but nobody expected one show to save SW and get Disney to double down with MORE) - Disney had thrown big budgets into the D+ MCU series. Falcon and WS are filming in Prague for *&^% sake, among other places. Location shoots are expensive. Plus the rumored crossovers from the series to the big screen. Streaming is the future - esp. with wall size televisions.

And there's all kinds of collectors - like I don't dump my figs; they are a more or less permanent display unless they degrade. Which is why I REALLY didn't need to slide into collecting SW

(But a complex lead character and the gritty Outer Rim setting tipped me into the Dark Side.)

Finally - in comparison to some, haven't been collecting that long, but getting the feeling some of the older stuff may just have been made better than the newer. Not impressed with HT embracing more plastic - was so disappointed with IW Cap and the shower curtain feel of the outfit. Also HT moved back to plastic shields vs. diecast. BP v2 display was made of styrofoam. So I'll be holding onto my MCU figs.

TBH was surprised at Mando V1 quality, but even then corners were cut (no knife or blast effect etc.)

I only ever collected the Iron Man figures and I love love them. I was a big IM fan growing up so it?s more than just the MCU. And I love the different armours as well as War Machine. I have about 10 total including Whiplash MK II (super underrated) and would never sell.

I don?t know I think the OG was done well. I don?t know if they cut corners. I mean did he ever use the knife or flame thrower in that armour? It could have more but I think there?s quite a bit there.

He flamed the Jawas and the knife fight with Paz Vizsla. Of those I just would like Mando to have his knife - seems like something he would carry. The little lantern he uses in the desert would have been nice too.

But not so disappointed that I didn't double this one. I'm always on the lookout for useful accesories and interesting stands anyway.

Interesting that it's also under the Rogue One "brand". That's great.

I see there is a post for Baze Malbus. Need to like that everyone !!! With Cassian pretty much a certainty, this is the only part of the Rogue One lineup we need !! Like it to show Hot Toys the interest !!

If they are going to eventually do Baze then we need a Chirrut reissue. I didnt pick him up due to no Baze and now he is double the price on eBay.

The Squad Leader is a welcome surprise. Hot Toys decisions are often questionnable when it comes to prototypes going to production or not and i'm glad they doubled down on that Shoretroopers annoucements.

Kudos to Favreau and Filoni as well for bringing the shoretrooper design back on the screen. Definitely helped us getting those two.
