I quite like the Inquisitors idea. It reminds me of some anime like Bleach, Naruto and Demonslayer where there were various fractions of an enemy organization. Those were done much better since there were a lot of back story for their characters. SW had the idea right, just didn't use them correctly.

Yeah, I think you coined it exactly. "how Disney is using them". I could envisage a pretty cool show dedicated to them hunting Jedi. However only if well written for mature adiences, and if they could nail the intrigue within the ranks to get Vaders attention etc.

But let's face it. Disney doesn't have the writers who have the skill of a Breaking Bad crew or any of the more nuanced TV shows out there.
Chow has no clue how to use them..they are not SJW :slap

If Favreau had control of them..they would be Cobb Vanth interesting and that outlaw (forgot his name , the one that shot Cobb ) mysterious

The Inquisitors have only ever existed under Disney.

The concept of Inquisitors in Star Wars predates the Disney acquisition by decades.

The most recognizable example that would be familiar to Star Wars gamers in the 90’s would be former Inquisitor Jerec, main antagonist of Jedi Knight: Dark Forces II.

There were a fair number of Dark Side users running around in the EU including prophets, acolytes, apprentices, Inquisitors, and Emperor’s Hands.

The role of the Inquisitors is largely the same in the new canon, but they’ve gotten a lot more development that also went in a different direction which I like a lot more. I also appreciate that there are fewer Force users in general.

Considering the lack of figures for Book of Boba, I'm wondering if Hot Toys have SW Show burnout ?

Or they simply chose to make less for BoB due to the lack of acceptance from fans ? Kenobi doesn't seem to have that big of a selection for figures. But I guess Kenobi, Reve, Vader, Purge Trooper and I'd love that big loader droid.
Hasbro is behind on BoBF figures too with really only Fett being made and Fennic strategically placed under a BoBF banner when she could have easily been a Mandalorian figure. It’s likely Lucasfilm is to blame for the lack of figures than HT or Hasbro not wanting to make them.

I’m actually very surprised Hot Toys hasn’t announced a Reva figure yet. She has every version of Hasbro figures already on PO and even what will eventually be a failed Lightsaber HasLab.

Next weeks reveal will for sure be Kenobi so maybe it’s a double reveal with him and Reva?:dunno

OK interesting.

Par for the course as far as Lucasfilm and Kennedy goes I guess. I mean WTF ?

It's been there thing for years now, for some reason they just don't give much information to the these companies and they're late with the figures/collectibles etc. It is a little frustrating, especially for us in the collecting field. Think it honestly started with Mando a few years back, we got nothing from Season 1 except OG Mando and IG-11 before the show started and Heavy Mando and a few stormtroopers during the season. The flood gates were opened afterwards. Same thing happened with Season 2.

Especially if it is a hidden character that will "surprise" the audience. HT probably got the details on Cad Bane the day the episode aired.

IIRC Hasbro and HT stated that Sequel Trilogy stuff failed to sell so Hasbro especially became cautious, not wanting to make much star wars product in case it wouldn't sell. Except for Grogu which was different situation as IIRC it was kept under wraps. Though to be fair I think Hasbro would still have been slow to produce Grogu merch after BB8 and Porgs clogged shelves.

Yeah that's clear. Secrecy is a thing, which to be honest I'm OK with. I'd way prefer to go into something and be pleasantly surprised than know about it beforehand. Some would say they are protecting us from ourselves which is pretty true. I know for one I did not know about baby Yoda.

But I was meaning more the approval process and how quickly that works within Lucasfilm. But it's hard to tell, Hot Toys could have the figure approved and are just holding back from the release.

Would anyone here actually buy a Reva? Genuinely curious

Would anyone buy any of the other 2 Inquisitors either though? Seems like most people hate the show and would only buy Vader and Kenobi.

I wouldn't buy any of the Inquisitors because they all look fairly atrocious in live action.
Doubt I'd get Kenobi. None of his costumes have been particularly interesting in this show. Perhaps if his headsculpt was really good.
Vader would depend on accessories or an alternative battle damaged helmet that shows Anakins face beneath. We'll have to see how the battle in the last episode goes.
Can't think of anything else worth a mention from this show.
I know some people like the black troopers but I'm not fussed personally.
I don't hate the show but I don't like it very much either, so it's hard to be particularly enthusiastic about any potential figures.

Two reasons I tuned into the Obi and tatooine. I didn't tune in for the annoying Leila character. A season 2 focused on Obi and not the annoying mary sue kid would interest me.

I think I'd consider tuning into a second season of Kenobi if he is more like the Kenobi we know (I don't mind him getting over trauma of ROTS and Order 66 and Anakin etc and being rusty, however, after 5 episodes, I'm ready for Kenobi to get his mojo back) and he doesn't leave Tattooine.
If it was a local adventure. Maybe have run ins with local criminals, gangs, Tuskens.
Training with Qui-Gon.
More scenes with Owen. More Luke etc etc.
And directed by someone else too of course. The person who directed season 1 is terrible.
