Re: Hot Toys want you to guess what the DX03 is.

I very much doubt it will be Iron Man and VERY much hope not.

Eric Draven perhaps? :drool

Re: Hot Toys want you to guess what the DX03 is.

My hope is for a true 1/6 scale Navi (either jake or neyteri). Sculpted by Yuli, who has said she'd love to sculpt in 1/4 scale which essentially is what doing one of these aliens will feel like.

Re: Hot Toys want you to guess what the DX03 is.

It seems kind of premature to announce a DX for T800 since its not released yet

Maybe its MJ-BAD

Re: Hot Toys want you to guess what the DX03 is.

Daniel Craig as James Bond :D

Re: Hot Toys want you to guess what the DX03 is.

I think a Terminator 1 makes the most sense. There are 2 distinctive looks for him in the film and they've done one of them already without the Arnie likeness.

Another possibility - Jor-El. Since we know they're doing Superman:The Movie- it could be the white suit with the proper emblem and also the black suit.

But the past 2 DX have been from The Dark Knight - maybe a Two-Face/Dent DX? Now THAT would be disappointing.

Hans Landa would be fantastic - he has more than 2 looks in the film.

Well I think a base with the .50 cal gun would be pretty elaborate, though not much more than the Tony Start mech arm base.

I'd want to see it come with a clean t-shirt and headsculpt so you could have this look.

And then a BD headsculpt and shirt for his battle look, and I'd really like an alternate costume to have his going home look to mirror the M65 figure from First Blood.

As for not buying Rambo unless it's from IV, I'd get a Rambo 2 or new First Blood if they did it just because they look pretty out of place with M65 and Rambo 3, though with today's quality M65 and Rambo 3 would probably look a bit out of place with a newere figure, but I think less than the current contrast.

I have all the Rambos and they don't really look out of place with each other. I think trodding over old territory is a waste of resources anyway. Those figures are near perfect as they stand (with the exception of the rubber bodies of course). But again, I really don't see a need to go DX with Rambo IV. Everything there can be included with a regular figure and the weathering be left up to the collector. I've never given two ____s or a ____ about the PERS system. It's more of a gimmick than anything else.

Who knows, maybe it's a Comedian without the silly-assed smile and with either his bath robe or the classic costume with a younger head. That makes more sense than anything else brought up here.

Re: Hot Toys want you to guess what the DX03 is.

I can't see any Terminator Arnie likeness being made in DX before his regular T2 release comes out.

Based on sales (in the U.S.) of Two-Face, I doubt that would happen. Many stores were clearancing him out for $80 or less.

Because there are no movable eyes, no fancy light-up base, and he wasn't previously released (this last factor may not apply to future DX releases, but has to the 2 previously announced/released).

Except that not many people would buy it.
