Though I think some criticisms are overblown, I would also have preferred something you couldn't get elsewhere. Enterbay's Lees are fine, from what I've seen (I don't own any). As mentioned, the moving eyes aren't even new here. So. . .kind of a disappointing choice given the prospect of a new figure of an as-unreleased character.

A few days ago I mentionned that people were probably setting themselves up for disappointment just like they did when the last DX was guessed on. Then I wake up to this announcement 
...personaly I love that HT is taking a crack at this. I'm a huge Bruce Lee fan. However, there are a lot of problems with this release (as it looks now) like the likeness and the weird looking body. People shouldn't worry too much though. They'll eventually release the Terminator, Rocky, Superman figures. It's a matter of time and lets just be grateful that this isn't Enterbay which announces figures and doesn't release them until decades later.

The Enterbay figures look better IMO anyway.
I don't like the look of the sculpted muscle body. Again, Enterbay's is better.
And doesn't the Enterbay Bruce already have poseable eyes? Just not "parallel"? (woopdeedoo)
This is soooo lame.
It is cool to see them do something new for a base though.

Rocky was planned for Dx03,Rambo Dx04,now that we didn't se either i doubt we will ever see a Rocky/Rambo figure ever again.Thanks for the tease HT
The article that mentioned about DX03 being Rocky and DX04 being Rambo was just speculating. Nothing was ever set in stone. But you guys here seem to take it like it's the scriptures and whatnot.

Waited for the announcement, and I'm not thrilled.. Like what's been said countless times before, it's nothing new (Enterbay has done Bruce Lee, so have other companies). Hot Toys was supposed to be the one dictating the pace in the 1:6 hobby.. They should release unique figures, hence win the hobbyists over & over again.
They've done that countless of times before, but they will save hobbyists a lot of money on this release.
Why build up the hype on a Reeve Superman, Rambo or Rocky (by agreeing on interviews that you'll do them soon or something) and set false expectations?
Now, I'll really have to be hard-pressed on having a Rambo 4 headsculpt customized, as I will probably never see Hot Toys release this.
They've done that countless of times before, but they will save hobbyists a lot of money on this release.
Why build up the hype on a Reeve Superman, Rambo or Rocky (by agreeing on interviews that you'll do them soon or something) and set false expectations?

Plus, apparently the base (though I only briefly saw pics at home, and can't see them now from work).
Eventually, the DX figures may well have nothing in common. Which is fine, but makes prediction of what we will get even more difficult.
Did Enterbay give all these outfits in one set?
Look at that right ankle. Doesn't go flat. I don't remember Enterbay having that problem.

We won't get any more Rocky,that im pretty sure of,and with all the other popular licenses right now i don't think they will bother with Rambo.
It's done,no point hoping for another Rocky/Rambo.
I really hate the tease,hyping up stuff like DX Rocky and Rambo then scraps the whole idea.I wouldn't mind waiting for a DX03-DX04 Rocky/Rambo as long as they sticked to the plan.
