The newest HT release.

I'd buy a HT anakin. I Like the character as portrayed in the novels, comics, and the clone wars series.

I HAAAAAAAAAATE how he was portrayed in the movies.

how odd is that?

The Anakin I'd want HT to do?

As part of an Ultimate DX ROTJ Darth Vader with (Sebastian Shaw HS x2 (burnt and grizly, for under Vader, and fresh faced) + 1 Hayden HS plus Jedi Robes.
If it happens, it'll probably just be the Hayden head. :(

It isn't. In the films you are forced to experience the character as portrayed by Hayden Christenson which isn't everyone's bag. I would argue that the casting of Lloyd AND Christenson were two of the largest drawbacks to the prequels personally. In the novels, comics for example you get to experience them as you imagine them and in the CW cartoons you get to experience it by the voice work of Matt Lanter who out dos Christenson in acting hands down without ever seeing his face.

That being said I'd love an HT Anakin Skywalker because I'd be buying Anakin not a Hayden fan piece.

I don't necessarily need HT to make it... but I'd definitely be down for an old-man Anakin Ghost figure :lecture

My belief is that if they made a figure of it in the Kenner line I'll buy one from Sideshow :lecture

The thing about Lanter is he actually does look like he would have fit in the films as Anakin as well.

keep in mind, but he doesn't have to take Lucas' direction.

That is actually a fantastic point. I'd cheer Dave Filoni but he gave us the burden of Ashoka so no. Either way I think an Anakin HT follow up would sell fairly well.

Naaaah :1-1:

Figure of this character with the Hayden's appearance will be wildly popular at least in the Asian market.
So I very much hope that we'll see him the near future (before some of the next apocalypses or armageddons).

Then so be it, I'll still buy it no matter what.

I really hope so.

Isn't it unusual for this many months to pass after SDCC without a preorder for prototypes displayed at the con? There's quite a few this year. HT Luke, Grievous, Battle Droid variants, STAP....

I think HT Luke is still pending approval..

The SSC stuff is in the bag, it's just a matter of when those pieces are planned in their release schedule.

Granted, But then, Hayden really didn't either.
You need to be able to act to take direction.

It's unusual, but not unheard of, ESPECIALLY for Hot Toys pieces.
anyone Remember The Resident Evil Leon Figure, and the months between it's reveal @ SDCC, and pre-order?

The droid variants is not a shock but the others kinda but then we could see most this month with spook.

Yeah, I guess the fact that HT have confirmed they are doing SW figures, means the approval thing doesn't really matter regarding PO dates.
There are many steps to approval. They wouldn't have shown it unless it was close to final approval regardless if they had announced they are making figures. Showing something without starting approval could be bad as it could be said no start from scratch no matter how great people think it looks.
