As delayed as this figure is, there is a good chance a lot of changes have been made to him. So a different body, altered sculpts, etc. are all distinct possibilities.

HT knows this is a big release, they will be careful not to half-ass it.
This is definitely a sculpt I can see HT's changing.

I can't wait for this figure!

I'm really only looking to pick up Rebel Endor Troopers on the cheap now. They're pretty damn fun.

On another note, I just snagged this off eBay:

That should wrap up my other Tusken custom. :rock

Nice, what's that from? I need pouches to upgrade my Jawa's. The repainted Hasbro ones look okay, but I'd prefer something like this.

Not sure if these have been posted. Same but different angles. Looks so good!

STUNNING!!!!!! no complaints ...I would be almost worried if they attempt a re-sculpt it comes off worse. Given Indy was always off and we got him off, this in my opinion is pretty spot on...I'm loving these pics.

Oh man I want that Vader helmet/Luke HS so bad... Shame it's only a SS exclusive... :(

That's what you guys are going bat____ crazy over?

I think the sculpt is a good sculpt- just not a good sculpt of Mark Hammil. To me it doesn't look like him at all. I really don't see how they could release this as some ultimate version with the likeness so off.

Who is doing the headsculpts? It doesn't say in the announcements. Kojun, Yulli or Arnie Kim?

I don't understand what's supposed to be cool about the Vader Helmet Luke sculpt.

Ah never mind, figured out where it's from. Not the biggest Star Wars fan... heh.

While the sculpt doesn't nail Hamill's likeness the way HT did with Tobey McGuire's Spider-Man or Christopher Reeve's Superman, this is still far and away the best Luke released. Totally destroys anything done by SSC or Medicom's $300.00 single figure version ( also think it looks more like Hamill than SSC's PF Luke 1:4 statues).

That aside, the BD version is about perfect, IMO, even if it doesn't quite capture Hamill's youth (both sculpts look to me to be a little older than ESB Hamill). Personally, I'm happy with what HT's done and feel this release captures "Luke" very well. Perhaps with the delay of this release to August HT will refine the sculpt more to its detractors liking.

I agree it's a strong sculpt, but no way it tops the Jedi Luke PF sculpt, imo.

Yeah, I agree regarding that Jedi Luke PF. I don't have or want any of those, but that is definitely the BEST Hamill likeness out there - no question.

I really hope HT fix the clean head.

I've never seen Jedi Luke in person, so maybe I should've included the caveat that this release is the best ESB version of Luke I've seen yet. The main point I meant to convey is that for a 1:6 attempt I think this one is highly credible, considering some of the problems even at 1:4 scale.
