The second delay is curious though.... I think the Avengers theory has legs. They announced way more figures in a shorter time span than they've ever done for a single film before with more coming. Still, that's not production but prototype and Luke has been in production for some time, or so we would think. That said there almost has to be a change, no?..... Wait, I just remembered that Indy was delayed too.

My fiance picked up a UU Luke for me in HK last year. The head isn't as bad as everyone says. Whoever took those "official" pics need to be fired. That being said - I asked her to get it for me specifically for the clothes and accessories. I'm planning a ANH custom.

After a lot of thinking I have to pass on this one. I don't think the non battle damaged version looks like Mark Hamil. I keep seing Jasper from twilight in this figure

Hey Flosi. You mean try using the HT Bespin head on the UU? Probably not. Luke looks almost like a different person in ESB (from ANH). I want to try to sculpt my own ANH Luke.
And I want to weather out the clothes to look like he's spent many summers on Tatooine.

I think the HT Bespin head looks pretty damn good - at least from the pics so far. My only suggestion is that the shape of the face is a little to wide horizontally. Luke's face was a little longer vertically. Just a tad.

But I think overall it is a great likeness.

No, I agree. I think this looks very good.... And I wouldn't use it for ANH Luke either but I thought that's what you were getting at for some reason. Looking forward to seeing your next project.

I like the head sculp, he look like an ideal luke, kinda hero look... but i think it could be a lot better, more movie accurate... just look the amazing job HT did with 89 batman and joker

Works out kinda nicely, I think. I'm in no rush and by coincidence, both final payments on my Bespin Luke and Tusken Raider will be done on the same day, so it'll be great if everything works out and they arrive together.
