I would take the entirely opposite view on that. But we are all entitled to our opinions.

Rory, realistically it didn't take much modding to make Indy awesome. Your's is one of the best I've seem. Just sayin'.

I still think HT Indy was HT's worst figure to date.

Obviously I had higher expectations, but just the fact that everyone has to keep saying "he wasn't so bad" must make the point.

The sculpt was the real problem, compounded by the poor jacket and the ridiculous holster. Most everything else was pretty good. But if Capt America's sculpt was off AND his shield was shoddy AND his belts were wrong, people would go nuts too. Look at people reacting to the Bat-symbol on DX12's chest alone.

Luke is a fairly simple figure. Should be no probelms with it. Not for a 1st in Howard's new acquisition. There's really no excuse. Even Sideshow's 1st Star Wars figure was one of the best to this day, with probably the best paint apps of their whole line.

I do agree Indy is not a home run as say Captain Jack Sparrow but I don't think Luke is in the ****ter just yet. I think those pics are from the Toy Hunter display case and we haven't yet seen a true representation of the actual final product.

Indy wasn't half as bad as this board makes it seem. Sure he has some issues but they weren't deal breakers.

I agree. I don't think all is lost with Luke. The photos are making his face look terrible, no doubt. But I think ultimately the likeness and finish will be good. The only thing I don't see much hope for is the guyliner. I think the guyliner is unfortunately here to stay with any and all PERS figures. So I think it will come down to if you're willing to live with the guyliner or if there's a relatively easy fix to it.

BTW, I am at peace with the HT Indy figure that I derided from the get go. I still think it's a terrible likeness, compounded by the guyliner. But in the end I'm kinda glad I have the figure. I'm mostly annoyed that the cost was so much for the sub-par sculpt.

I do too... It's damn far from perfect, so I do understand why people who only want one perfect Indy in their collection would be pissed. I have 6 Indys, so it's just part of the collection... Enzio body did help.

Anyway, I'm buying Luke, regardless.

Luke has been, and will continue to be bought and paid for. I would just really like some new pics to show up so I can get back to being excited about this figure. If the new pics end up making the figure look a lot better, the "photographer" of those initial pics should have to face some kind of music.

I liked Indy for some great parts... but the weird head and so-so jacket just didn't meet my expectations of a HT DX release.

Yeah, this is my feeling, as well. If the pics are accurate (and I don't see how a photo can distort the clothing) then I feel we've been shown one thing and given another. It's just really starting to annoy me how both SSC and now I guess possibly HT will show a beautiful prototype and deliver a crappy knockoff. Just on principle I'm not going to reward them with $300.00 if these pics are an accurate representation of either the sculpt or clothing.

I was planning to get the beat-up version of this Luke once parted out. But now I wonder which sculpt will actually be the better one. Perhaps I'll be getting the clean after all.

Both look strange in the latest pics: the clean one looks like a mannequin and the beat-up version looks like Luke in Beiber gear. Not sure I'll be able to get that reference out of my head. Ever.

Yep, despite all the controversy over the sculpt, the biggest disappointment to me was the horrible whip.
